THIS POST IS A RE THAT EXISTS BECAUSE THE OLD POST WAS IN A "LINK" FORMAT AND I COULDN'T GET THE NEW THUMBNAIL TO WORK.
Please keep in mind that this post is 100% opinionated. I may use other people's opinions to make a point sometimes, but I will never say "this person is wrong" or anything like that.
Why does this level exist? Honestly. I don't understand the point of "old-school" levels in the modern era. And this level is one of the worst examples of them, not just because it's a terrible, unoriginal old-school level with subpar effects and bad colors, but also because it has VERY poor gameplay and minimal air decoration. This level is bad, one of the worst daily levels so far (including last year).
#1: Nostalgic levels should stop existing if they aren't going to introduce anything new.
Can we just fucking stop time traveling to previous updates in an attempt to literally lower people's standards? We're not in that era anymore, and we need to either move on or go an old-update GDPS. Being nostalgic is fine, but not when people are fucking praising your level with today's standards for being "nostalgic". I'm really sick and tired of these effortless levels that RobTop continues to give credit to (because, y'know, this level got a 5th place feature, an epic rating, and daily).
Here is my main issue with these kinds of "nostalgic" levels (also including such masterpieces as Pixel Party by Cirtrax, an epic-rated 1.9 level). They don't offer ANYTHING new. This level is just a generic 1.0 level with even less decoration than a standard 1.0 level (and it even has some 1.4 deco in it like sawblades, so it's not even consistently awful).
#2: This level is garbage IGNORING any "old update" aspects.
Even excluding the fact that this level rides on 1.0 decor, this level still looks like garbage. It's really empty and the block designs are nonexistent. And when there are block designs (like at the ship part before the drop with the white glow blocks), it looks really bad. I'm tempted to say the drop at least looks kind of cool, but it really doesn't. All the rotating blocks are copy-pasted, and the colors look terrible.
Then there's the gameplay. This level is bad enough because it starts with a really long auto section (not even a story-based auto section like in Woodkid or Neverending Travel, literally just a black screen transitioning into a Stereo Madness duplicate). But what makes it even worse is the countless "flash transitions", blinding colors, annoying timings, and skippable portals.
And there's another issue I want to bring up because it's showing up way more frequently as of late:
S T O P P U T T I N G B L I N D I N G F L A S H E S I N Y O U R L E V E L , T H E Y L O O K B A D
The best thing about this level, sadly, is the sync. And even that is kinda subpar in some places.
Outro
Anyway, poll is almost over and it's basically 12-11, so it's still anyone's game. So, uh, see ya later I guess.
Score: 0/10 (;-;)
Next Egregiousness: A more "artistic" simple level.

If 1.0 blocks are used as effects or special block designs it would be way better. Such as Idols.
