Regarding Version 1.6

Hello. As version 1.6 draws near, releasing on the 8th/9th, we will once again provide reminders for spoilers. It is important that we all acknowledge that many people enjoy experiencing new story content for the first time without it being spoiled. Let's all enjoy this new update to the fullest :)

What counts as a spoiler?

Anything regarding the new story for version 1.6 will be regarded as spoilers. Anything unannounced from the livestream will be regarded as spoilers as well. Additionally, any information regarding version 1.7 beta will be viewed as a spoiler as well. This ranges from unannounced characters (names/splash art) to 1.7 information.

How to discuss spoilers?

Pretty easy. You can make posts with spoilers as long as they provide proper spoiler warnings, if they do not the post will get disabled. How to do that? Below is an example used in the previous spoiler post:

You will need to set a non spoiler cover image if you are posting any images that are spoilers. You can do so like this:

This will prevent people from seeing the image(s) that are regarded as spoilers.

Additionally, spoiler posts will also need in their title (Spoilers) along in their text to add spoiler warnings. If you are looking to discuss your thoughts on something and not include any images. It is still recommended to add a cover image for your spoiler warning; this way you only have to add at the least two lines of text to prevent spoilers from being read without people clicking on your post.

I have seen so many spoiler posts made and you can still read without clicking on the post what the spoiler is just because many people ignore adding the text spoiler warning in the beginning of their post.

For public chatrooms please pay attention to the rules of the chatroom you are in. If they do not allow spoilers feel free to visit the Spoiler Room to discuss spoilers without worry of breaking chatroom rules.

What about artwork/cosplay??

Spoiler warnings will apply to artwork/cosplay as well. For these we ask that the title has (Spoilers) in it and the first two lines of text informs that it is spoilers similarly to how we ask for posts.

For the cover image you can make a blur of the main image if you want, we just ask that you make the blur to where it is not obvious what the image is. That or just use a non spoiler image for the cover image :ok_hand:

I want to reiterate this again. ANY posts that do not meet the requirements for spoilers will be disabled.

Please make sure you provide:

* (Spoilers) in the title

* Non spoiler cover image

* At least two lines of text informing that the post contains spoilers

Any posts without these will get disabled, the second and third requirement being more important than the first one; if those two are added and the first is forgotten the post should be fine, but please do try to add all three of these to any spoilers of the new story that will be included in 1.6 or ANY information regarding the 1.7 beta test: character information (name, abilities, art) and other information that is unconfirmed or unannounced by Mihoyo.
