About?

「This activity had of the team make an edit dedicated to Alhaitham while typing up a little about me with it as well. This of course, was mainly for fun and to see what everyone had in store for our feeble scribe for this month dedicated to him. This Alhaitham month that we hosted is also why the current theme for the amino is Alhaitham.』

The very moment the prompt was announced, I immediately began working on my edit but found myself utterly devoid of inspiration for Alhaitham. Like a master of procrastination, I yeeted the prompt and indulged myself in reading fanfics and whatever else to read, avoiding any semblance of productivity to actually work on this piece for half the month,, LMAO. I finally finished it,, hooray for mee.

I have no idea what my process was, I just kept on adjusting and changing things until it looked good to me. I wanted the edit to look a bit geekish to fit Alhaitham. In the end, I decided to make the edit mono-colored because I thought it fit his theme better and it makes him look mysterious. Also Plum has us at gunpoint, please save us.

Genuinely this is just a representation of "throwing overlays on a canvas and praying for the best." No idea what I was doing. I hate this stupid man making this edit enraged me and I wanted to punch the screen (/j). Honestly not normally my style, at least not one I like a lot, but I thought I should probably explore some new styles.

what else did i expect from dear edit head, plum, for this prompt to suddenly be announced as "al-haitham month"? there was an attempt at making this socmed-esque!

Plummie can you please let me out of the basement .... anyways! i really like this edit because of the composition and the colors even if its just a pretty basic color pallete! I forgot mid-way this was supposed to be a BLOG COVER so the original edit had the text 'Alhaitham' instead

currently in quite the editing block so it felt like I put my brain on autopilot, blinked, and boom the edit was done…because of this not much thought went into this edit aside from wanting the color scheme to be a kind of summery/spring vibe.

I struggled. when editing. mainly just composition. I'm tired and I don't want to use fanart. :)

I decided to add my edit to this as I am quite proud of it and it is of Alhaitham. Alhaitham is my baby boo and he is my favourite. I decided to use what I learned in photography and utilise double exposure. I had some inspiration after looking at old double exposure photos I edited with myself, and chose something suitable for Alhaitham. I do like how it turned out and although it does come off as simple, I think I prefer it that way since it has its own charm to it. I also don’t like overcrowding my edits so there’s that as well. Anyways this will be the current blog cover of this exhibition and I’m honestly proud of everyone else as well.

Honestly, this is one of the edits that went more smoothly compared to others I made in the past. I started it and finished in less than 20 minutes (ignoring the fact that I had to adjust the initial size of it). I don't really mind the results at all, in fact, I love the palette used. It fits a lot Alhaitham ^

As this months task was to make a blog cover (with alhaitham) why not make it in my self proclaimed "signature" style - which I've actually never posted on this amino - but make a bit of alterations :3
