Oh boy oh boy if you thought that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out O](https://image.staticox.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fpm1.aminoapps.vertvonline.info%2F9361%2F1e448cd480327de45dc5ede2e56644905237cd0br1-998-1500v2_hq.jpg)
Oh boy oh boy if you thought that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadows wasted the Casey Jones character then have I got a film for you. As he got the gold star treatment in that film where as in the film that i'm about to review for you all today he gets very little screen time and doesn't even take part in the main plot of the film and so then me as I review the film that was the final live action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film until 2014 with the film in question being called simply just "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III" enjoy.
The plot of this film is when April is sent back in time to ancient Japan the turtles have just a few short days to get her and bring her back to modern times before it's far to late. Now then in of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad but at the same time tho it's quite clearly not the franchises best plot and that's really saying something when you think of how weird the turtles plots got in the nineties with this films plot being very kid friendly which is understandable given the fact that the films had been getting more and more kid friendly but at the same time when your transporting your characters back to ancient Japan and your still playing it safe when back then it was anything but safe it really does go to show you just how dumb this films plot could which is also another issue with the film as while yes granted the turtles films plots are always kind of dumb there more dumb in the way that there still enjoyable to watch where as the plot of this film takes things a bit to far just by introducing the element of time travel which even for these films is taking things a bit to far and is something that should have been thrown out of the script with the plot of this film not even being that interesting as the film does nothing new with the ideas that it sets up either with the plot of this film not even being really rather entertaining and nor is it really rather engaging either in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this film is Brian Tochi as The Voice Of Leonardo and Corey Feldman as The Voice Of Donatello. Also starring in this film is Tim Kelleher as The Voice Of Raphael , Robbie Rist as The Voice Of Michelangelo , James Murray as The Voice Of Splinter , Paige Turco as April O'Neil , Elias Koteas as Casey Jones and Whit , Stuart Wilson as Walker , Mak Takano as Benkei , Henry Hayashi as Kenshin , Travis A. Moon as Yoshi , John Aylward as Niles , Sab Shimono as Lord Norinaga and Vivian Wu as Mitsu.
Now then in of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us inn this very film was in all honesty not that bad. Which is something that does make alot of sense as alot of the main actors for this film are reprising their roles from the other TMNT movies but at the same time tho this film's acting is quite clearly the worst of the bunch as there's no effort but into this films acting whatsoever with even the new voice for Raphael not really fitting the character as here he just sounds like someone who is trying to hard to be tough where as with the other voice you got the impression that he just was tough with one the bright performances in this film being oddly enough the returning Elias Koteas who is not only reprising his role as Casey Jones from the first movie but is also playing a new character called Whit and he really does do a good job or portraying both characters and while the actors playing the turtles are decent enough in this film there performances aren't as strong as they were in the other films due to the fact that there characters are being written badly with he acting that's in this film not really being helped by the fact that this films script is just so bad as it gives none of this films actors absolutely nothing to work with in of what it is that there respective characters personalities are even meant to be in the first place which is something that really does hard the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.

One of the biggest downgrades in this film when compared to the previous two is the turtle suits themselves. As the makers of this film thought that instead of having suits made by Jim Henson's Creature Show and actually look good they instead went with the much more cheaper All Effects Company who turned out suits that look like pure nightmare fuel as everything about these suits just look all kids of wrong with the turtles now sporting these really large spots on there bodies for quite literally no reason whatsoever and having really big eyes which just adds to the creepiness of there suits and that just makes these suits feel alot more cheaper where as the suits in the original two movies actually looked expensive and like they were alive where as here they just look soulless which of this one of the two live action Turtles PSA's would make sense as one of those PSA's quite literally just used the toy mascots for the suits but even they look better then the suits in this movie do as those suits had a reason for looking as cheap as they do where as here that's not an excuse as this is a feature film and while the turtles would get worse looking suits in both We Wish You A Turtle Christmas and in Coming Out Of Their Shells it's sad to see that that trend started with this movie with it feeling like that the All Effects Company started out with good intentions but realized that they were in way over their head as they were pretty much having to top the work that the Jim Henson Creature Shop did with the characters suits only on a slightly smaller budget.

To put it frankly they really do waste the character of Casey Jones in this movie as his role in this film boils down to just look after these four Japanese men while there in modern day New York and that's really it Which would be fine if they gave the character anything funny to say or do but they don't they do literally nothing interesting with his character outside of trying to teach them how to play Hockey and that's really it which makes you wonder why then even bothered to bring back Elias Koteas as that role could have been filled by anyone heck they even could have had Kano come back from the last movie to play that role and it would make just as much sense say what you will about how the Casey Jones character was treated in Out Of The Shadows but there they at least tried to give him something to do where as here he's relegated to the comedy side plot where there's no actual comedy and no actual plot going on with the film just cutting back to him at random points in the film for no reason whatsoever and while it was still great to see this character again he deserved so much more better then what was given to him in this film and to think they even could have had him up with the turtles and go back to Japan with them which would have been so cool to see but because we can't have nice things it seems he's stuck in a plot that's all that interesting and outside of one scene near the end of the movie doesn't tie into the main plot of the film at all and isn't all that funny in the first place all for no reason whatsoever.
To say something ever so slightly positive about this film it is a good idea to see the turtles in ancient Japan. As there marital art was created there and there for having them go back to that time period does on paper sound like a really good and interesting idea that if done right could have made for a really cool and good movie however that right there is the problem because it wasn't done right due to the fact that they introduced the element of time travel which is something that unless you explain away what the rules are for time travel in your film can always be very tricky and very messy as both the turtles and April travel back to Japan from New York there for using the rules of time travel established by H.G. Wells they should have landed exactly where they were just in the past but because the movie needs the plot to happen they are suddenly in Japan with there being nothing that establishes why that was the case in the first place which is something that they very easily could have done by having Donny say that they'll land where ever a past version of this scepter is and that's it that's all you'd need to do as that right there would establish that the groups can't just activate it and hope to land in a certain place as they'd need to know that it was there for sure for it work but because the only rule that they establish is that they have a few days to accomplish there mission before they become trapped in the past the rules for time travel in this film now make no sense whatsoever which makes you wonder why the makers of this film bothered to include that element to the film if they weren't going to explain what the rules are for time travel in there own movie.

While i'm not opposed to Michelangelo having a love interest it does seem weird that they would make her a human. Let alone a human who already has a boyfriend which he already knows about and while the film does do something new with that idea by having Mikey first decide to stay in Japan to be with her the film really doesn't do anything with either of them at all as Mikey is still acting like a goofball only this time with bad jokes and his love interest Mitsu is rightfully being more focused on getting her actual boyfriend back in his own proper time and while Mikey having a love interest could have been to explore aspects of his personality that really hadn't been explored the film just has him be the same goofball that he always is when they could have used the fact that he has a love interest to help to develop his character and whole Mitsu herself is a serviceable character in her right there's really nothing to her character that makes her an interesting character with her relationship with Mikey feeling like that it was added in at the last minuet as the makers of this film thought that they needed to give one of the turtles a love interest and it doesn't stop there as both Donny and Leo make an awkward Wayne's World joke at April early on in the film as well which is something that no kid will get and that the adults will be put off by due to how awkward that it is with only Raphael being the only turtle in the movie that not only doesn't get a love interest and that doesn't make an awkward joke at April which makes you wonder the makers of this film not only thought that it was right to have a turtle fall inn love with human but also to have two turtles make a Wayne's World reference at April as well as neither one one works at all.
Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty five minuets and twenty four seconds. Which to be fair to this film is pretty much the exact grand total running time that alot of these nineties live action Teenage Mutant Nutant Ninja Turtles films had with this film having more then plot there to cover that amount of running time but at the same time tho this film really doesn't use it's running time all that wisely as the film really doesn't take the time that it needed to to fully develop it's plot with it looking like that things are happening for no reason with the best example of this being the fact that this films main villain Walker is looking for the scepter as well for no reason as the film doesn't really give a reason for it which just makes it seem like it's just to add some unneeded tension to the film when the fact that the turtles only have a few short days to accomplish there mission is more then enough tension for the film with the film not even developing any of it's characters both old and new as the turtles have had there main personalities be shrunken down to either being the angry one , the smart one , the leader or the funny one and that's really it and Splinter isn't in the film film long enough to give us a taste of what his personality is like with the newer characters not even getting a single personality trait between them thus making it really hard for us the audience to route for quite literally any of this films characters as the film really doesn't give us a reason to care for them outside of the fact that there either the good guy or the bad guy and that's really it but I really will it that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is an action film that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this vey film was in all honesty not that bad. As we do get to see the turtles not only pull off some decent looking martial arts moves but also do the one thing that they couldn't do in the previous film and that's use there weapons as all of them except for Mikey get to use there weapons in this movie and while alot of this film is just flat out bad at best the one thing that does actually look really good in this film is it's action with the only thing that lets this films action down by quite alot is the fact that they insist on having over the top and stupid cartoon sound effects play over almost every single hit that the turtles land which is something that not only gets old really fast but it also gets annoying as well almost to the point where you want to skip past it with the films best action scene in the whole movie being the storm of Lord Norinaga's Palace where we get to see not only the turtles but April and Mitsu take on a bunch of guards which was always going to be a really cool sequence to watch and where it not for the cartoon sound effects it would have been more then enough to make this film more watchable as well as pretty much the one thing that this film got right was the fact that it had some really fun filled action scenes in it in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall out of the nineties live action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies this is quite easily the worst one and while it's one that many people myself included did grow up watching it's also one that's just straight up not that good of a movie and while it's hard to say if this movie is the worst live action or even the worst Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie of all time what can be said is this is a movie that deserves to stay in the past as that's just how bad that this movie really is in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very revie and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 4.5 out of 10 from me.
Now then as for where I personally got all of the images hat I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the mages that I personally used in this very review from the official Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fandom wiki page IMP Awards .
