So this episode wasn't to bad, I mean, there was some development in the story and between characters but the development between the characters didn't last to long because someone died. By the way, SPOILERS FOR THE EPISODE SO DON'T WATCH IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED 1×4 OF STAR TREK DISCOVERY! So this episode started with Micheal getting a parcel: her old captains will and testimony. Michael is summoned to Deck and is told she has a job to complete. They go to a room filled with weapons and then the monster from the previous episode, the one that killed all the Klingons. Micheal is tasked with finding out why this creature kills. Micheal thinks that it killed the Klingons in self-defence but no one believes her. Then the pessimistic one from the crew shows up. Sorry I'm new to this and I have only seen the episode once so I'm a bit shaky with names. But who cares, she dies. They called the monster Ripper. Then they come to a fascinating "Discovery". Get it? The things they have been growing in the mushrooms which APPARENTLY can transport you anywhere you want. But that's the thing. It just sends you to a random planet and the Discovery nearly crashed into a sun. But anyway, it turns out Ripper eats that. So Micheal tells everybody and it turns out, she was right. It only killed in self-defence. AND if you squeeze rippers nips you now can teleport wherever you want. I tried squeezing my nips and asked to go to the kitchen to get some Vimto but It didn't work. Sorry folks. Also Micheal opens the package and it's here old captain saying how she is so pleased that Micheal is captain of her own fleet which is kind of sad because, well, she isn't. Oh and now the bit about the Klingons! So their ship has no food or energy to fly so they go to a ship that they destroyed and get some energy. The torch-bearer kind of gets in a relationship but then she snaked on him. So, he's stuck in an abandoned Star Fleet ship and then the Klingon chick shows up and tells him that if he sacrifices everything, he will learn everything. Oh, and Discovery save a colony but that's basically FILLER :expressionless: ! So that's the end of my review and summary of 1×4 of Star Trek Discovery.
