Eurovision Song Contest - Introduction

Let's have some fun, no matter how bad is your day going. All you need is just music and dance.

So I take you to the most famous dance and music show in Europe which goes on every year in May since 1956. It's being live streamed almost in whole Europe plus Australia, USA, China etc.

52 different countries participated till 2017 including Australia

Since 2000s Eurovision has been called as the gayest show ever by many authorities and by its fans. Luckily it's true that you'll like Eurovision more than a straight person.

   Unfortunately I can't say the winner of 2017 was a typical Eurovision song. It was a masterpiece from Portugal's Salvador Sobral...

Let's talk about the format of the contest...

  There are 2 Semi-Finals and a Grand Final stage in the contest. Every each contestant who represents their country comes to the stage and sing their song for 3 minutes.

Ten countries from the 1st semi-final and ten other countries from 2nd semi-final depending jury and sms votes of countries and also Spain, Italy, , UK, and the winner of previous year participates in the grand final. Grand final lasts about 3-4 hours including vote anouncement stage. Every each country gives points to other countries from 1 to 7 and 8, 10, 12 points

For now... that's all I can say about Eurovision. The next ESC will be held in May 2018. Don't forget to watch...
