EDIT: Thanks for the feature!
So before I headed out to NorCal, I installed a pair of Firestone Ride-Rite Airbags. I knew that if I hook up my camper to a half ton pickup, it’ll sag, a lot.
Basically, this is how airbags work:
When bed is not loaded, or no trailer is hooked up, you keep minimum recommend pressure of 5 psi. I usually run around 10-12. It does not effect the ride. Before hooking up a trailer, or loading the bed with weight, measure the distance from ground to the “fender” (bottom of bed’s wheel well). Once you hook up or load, it’ll sag. Then, inflate the bags until, or slightly higher than your original measurement. I use small air compressor that plugs into the 12v outlet.
This was my first time towing the camper.

6515 lbs dry, probably closer to 7500-8000 lbs, with all my stuff in it.
So when I towed it, I ran about 65 psi in the bags. See the difference between 65 psi and 6 psi.

As if my MPG wasn’t bad enough :joy: I got 152 miles out of the tank

Installation.

what kind of truck is that? by the way love that truck
Tundra
Yeah, it’s a Tundra. Thanks.
Nice truck man, it’s been interesting watching as I’m not that big on trucks, but you’ve got me intrigued with this tundra.
Thanks. I’ve never been big on trucks, never owned one, drove a bunch at work, pulled trailers, but never really got into them. Once I bought a camper, I started researching and shopping. Took me over a year to narrow it down and finally bite the bullet.

Thanks buddy. Yeah, that’s like 33L/100 :joy:
How was it on the highway?

How smooth was it? I plan on getting a truck in the future to tow, would this upgrade be worth it?

As long as there is no strong winds, it’s smooth sailing. What size trailer are you gonna tow?

I don’t know yet tbh.
