EDIT: Thanks for feature!
Let’s talk floor mats for a moment. Most common are OEM floor mats, weather mats, and their aftermarket counterparts. And then there are WeatherTech products, or similar.
I’ve heard of WeatherTech products and have seen pix in many applications for years. I was always curious about them, but could never justify the cost of them, for any of the vehicles I have owned. Until now. All my cars of the past didn’t really need it. I never lived anywhere off the beaten path, or owned a truck. Even my used ‘95 Wrangler was just that, a daily and an off road vehicle that I could clean with a hose.
As some of you know, I recently bought a Tundra. It’s a 2012, but it’s mint, with leather interior. Given its condition, I just don’t have the heart to take it extreme off roading. That does not mean it’s a daily urban assault vehicle, that never leaves pavement.
With that said, my Tundra will probably see 80-90% on road, and towing use, with 10-15% off road. And because of that, I decided to invest in WeatherTech. I ended up spending just under $208 for 3-piece set. They have sort of “cup” design, to contain the dirt without spilling over the edges, onto the carpet.

Before and after.

Notice the “cupped” design I mentioned earlier

Funny thing is when I was at about 80k I had a NTB manager tell me my engine was shot and he was surprised my car hadn't broken down. My wife had gone 30k without an oil change. Jokes on him I suppose.

I've had 2 places try and tell me my turbo is shot. And quoted 3 times the amount of what it would be worth. 1st was 1 month after buying and it was from the dealership. I laughed at them. Second was a dodgy mechanic. She's at 300k km now and still hitting full boost! Would be a frontier in the states
Same here I could never justify the price. If they were to go down say 10 20% I will probably get them. Funny thing about floor mats you try to keep it nice for the next person because you never really see under the mats.
I got them from manufacturer via eBay, when eBay had 8% bucks back. So that saved me almost $17, basically shipping cost.
I vacuum my cars at least once a week, including under the mats. So it is for me. And I don’t plan on selling any of my cars unless I absolutely have to.

My Fusion pretty much died. I gave it new life by replacing the engine at 143K. It has 162K now, used daily
You guys are using floor mats?
:joy: I wasn’t in my Jeep
