Car show season is already upon us and I'm excited to get involved. However I am far from where I want to be in order to successfully bring my car's to some shows.
What I want to do
Starting with the Maxima

My Maxima is in very good shape, epically for its age but I still want to clean it up a bit and add a few mods.
1) I want to do a deep cleaning of both interior and exterior.
2) I want to replace the damaged bumpers because both if them have scratches and dents on them.
3)I would like to add some mods including a 20th Anniversary Edition ground effects kit, chrome door sill plates, exhaust system and some type of air intake sustem.
Now for the 1957 Chevy Two-Ten

Odviously this is a project car and it needs quite a bit of work. But my main goal is to get it running and driving for the summer.
1) I need to actually get it running this could mean:
- New sparkplugs & wires
- New battery
- Carburetor work
- Change all the fluids
2) It needs new tires since the current ones are flat and probably dry rotted.
3) It needs a good cleaning inside and out.
4) Finally I'd like to clear coat the original paint to maintain that beautiful patina look.
The reality of it all
Unfortunately I'm a college student with very little money and free time so most of these things won't happen immediately. BUT with spring break coming up in just over a week I will spending it working on my cars. To kick it of, I will be going to my local Pick-N-Pull at the Beach to hopefully find some goodies for the Maxima including bumpers, chrome door sill plates and if I'm lucky... a 20th Anniversary Edition ground effects kit.

After a good spring cleaning, this will put the Maxima in great shape to attend some shows, the first of which will probably be a large meet in Columbia (details below) :arrow_heading_down: :arrow_heading_down:

What about the Chevy?¿
The rest of my break will be spent working on the the 57 Chevy. If I can get it running properly by the end of spring break I think I'll be in good shape to get it looking and driving good so I can show it off at some local summer car shows.

Until then stay posted and expect more frequent updates coming in the near future!

That Chevy is really cool! :+1:
Thanks! Once I get out of school next week I'll have some time to actually put some work into it.
What’s wrong with the Chevy? Do you know specifically or are you just listing guesses?
Honestly I'm just listing guesses. I was told that it was parked about 3 years ago because of a backfiring issue which could be caused by multiple things.
That maxima is sooo clean
Thanks! I try to keep her that way and I actually have a b the works to show & explain how clean/original it really is.
The few Nissan's I wouldn't mind having. Supposedly pretty damn quick, too

Yes I can attest that it is indeed very quick even thought mine is a 5th gen which has the 3.0L v6 making around 222hp. The 5.5 Gen Maxima has a 3.5L v6 that makes just over 250hp.
Oh and on top of that it only weights like 3000 lbs. So yeah it's pretty quick. :satisfied:
That's the truth man, money is pretty much every car enthusiasts problem :joy:

Don't I know it, it's $100 a month here for me with a STOCK lancer es lol, I'm hoping it's going to work out for me, and you, and anybody else who is willing to work for it, but it's not like that unfortunately

True! And luckily I can have my car under my parents insurance and it's about $1000/year for just for liability.

I feel ya on being a college student and not having time :joy: :joy: the only difference I'm still hunting for a project
Good luck on the Two-Ten I can't wait to see it up and running!!
Haha its a struggle but I know we'll make it through. And thanks I got lucky with finding this one, I'll keep everyone posted with details as I progress with it.
Yes, you definitely need to get a project especially for over the summer!

No problem, I'll be looking for updates
And yea I definitely do, it's been almost a year since everything that happened with Blue Angel, so I'm really feeling the itch to have a project again :smirk:
