Even living in Phoenix, AZ I can visit snow if conditions are right. Flagstaff AZ is located in northern part of the state, at around 7000’. So it’s a three hour drive. Even though the Tundra is 4x4, I’m running on street tires and never drove this truck in snow. I decided to get a set of cables, just in case. So $120 was worth my piece of mind. We went there week and a half ago, right after Flagstaff got 4’ of snow.

First and foremost, I’m stoked that I didn’t need to use them. I had it in 4-high most of the time, and threw it in 4-low couple of times. Like in the above pic, to get in and out of deeper snow. Tundra performed excellent!
Now onto the cables and ease of use. I test fitted them before heading out. Due to their construction, they’re simple to put on, with just few snaps. They come with tensioners and it takes about 2 minutes per wheel

Few snow shots

Right after we got back, this thing was filthy after just 2 days. I unloaded it and ran it through a car wash

Don’t go faster than about 25 mph with those tire chains/cables on. If so, they’ll fly off and possibly get wrapped around something on the undercarriage/axle. Those are the same cables we have installed on the mail trucks at the post office. Would you believe how many people went too fast and had them rip off and wrap around the rear axle and lock them up???? Happens every single year. They work great on the rear wheel drive, right hand drive mail trucks
Never seen those before and snow is fun until you cant make it up a hill
