It's completely normal when steering from lock to lock when not applying any brakes. However, when applying the brakes, there is a groaning / stretching sound. This happened after I recently hit a massive pothole, so the car has a front right spare wheel on at the moment. I never tried pressing the brakes and steering from lock to lock before the pothole, so I don't know if this is normal or caused by the pothole.
