It's finally October which means it's that perfect time of year to get some awesome car pictures📸 and some amazing driving in before winter hits :maple_leaf: > :snowflake:

Before winter I'm hoping to get a few more things done to the Maxima to further improve her performance and looks.

As most of you guys know I recently got the windows tinted and mentioned some wheels I was looking at. I tried to the seller of the wheels and got no response so who knows what will happen with those but hopefully I'll get an answer sometime soon... Moving on I'm probably going to start with some small performance mods soon but details on that will come shortly.

Yesterday (10-1-17)

I performed some well needed maintenance that will definitely allow the Maxima to run a lot smoother, an oil change. This was the first oil change since I've had her! When I first got her my Grandparents had just gotten the oil changed at their local Nissan dealership. Now with just hitting 84,000 miles it was definitely time for a change. I used Castrol edge high milage full synthetic oil and a Fram ultra synthetic oil filter. The reason I chose this is because my grandparents had used synthetic oil for quite some time so I figure I would stick with it and Fram filters have always worked well for my families vheicles. Everything went smoothly and it only took a matter of 15 minutes. Now she's ready for many more miles of fun filled fall driving!!

The other thing I want to start doing is automotive photography. I'm currently in the market for a nice DSLR camera that would be good for this task and also good for beginners. I'm not looking to spend thousands of dollars but I want to get a descent camera for this. If any of ya'll have suggestions please let me know down in the comments.

I also started an instagram for my Maxima so if you guys could follow that it would mean a lot to me it's @merlot_maxima and I try to post daily pictures.

Some extra pics from at the gas station the other day

Haha, I try to keep every aspect of my car clean. Although I haven't washed & detailed the engine bay yet it could be a lot better. But thanks!

Nice to see another Maxima with a good owner. I’ll probably be doing my oil change tomorrow on my Honda.

My grandparents babied this car and brought it to the Nissan dealership whenever it needed a service, never skipping a single one. I love this car and want it to keep it as nice as I can for as long as I can.

How many miles do you normally go on your oil changes?

Using synthetic oil, I try to change it every 6-7k miles because synthetic tends to have longer lifespan with better protectuon. With traditional oil, on my Dad's car, we do it every 3,500-4,500 miles.
