Why am I doing this again?

So! As ya'll might know, in early September--Late August I did mention a few things that I thought would be cool for this amino, and look! We have custom titles!

Let's get the grill back in here as I go on my rant. Please note I am perfectly fine with hearing other people's opinions on what I'd like to see in this community.

1.More group challenges

I love the Hogwarts House Cup championship, even if it seems like Team Stepherin is losing (RIP). But if you (could) look in the chats, you'd see that we get along very well. Maybe having a group chat where everyone ed would be cool, but I'm not saying we have to.

Challenges tend to pit people together in certain categories, but these types challenge combine the efforts and talents of the whole team-- something I'm not a fan of in real life. This allows some people to get close to each other and become friends, even if they're awkward approaching a person.

What I basically said is that I'd like more group challenges, and that I'd be willing to make some myself.

2. Posts

I don't expect anyone to fix this. I don't expect a group of people to try and post more. This really is just a long rant post I want your opinion on.

One thing I noticed is the low posting amount, I know it can be good, because you get featured more, but when you get up at 6AM there's maybe one or two short posts it's kinda sad. And the reason why I bring this up is because of the community, now shut up and don't make assumptions.

So if you look at the amount of people it's around 5,000. And when you look, a lot of people haven't posted at all, and sure some people may be new but that's not it.

If you look at this profile. You see a person who hasn't posted a thing and has been a member since July. I've been on for less time and have posted more, I'm not trying to glorify myself, it's just a thing. In fact, just look through the people in this amino, I bet over half have never posted, and it's kinda sad. I'm sure everyone has some lovely thing that might make me feel less empty.

3. Constructive Criticism

This is ground I really need to tread carefully, or I'll screw up everything.

Well, some of you might be wondering,

What is constructive criticism?

And correct me if I'm wrong, but this is just what I make out of it.

Constructive criticism is basically critiquing something in a respectful manner. There is a thin line between constructive criticism and actual criticism.

Imagine this; You're reading a story and you notice some bad grammar. Saying: "The grammar is a bit bad, but other than that it's good!" Is constructive criticism, you're saying the bad thing and praising the rest. And if you don't like it, but want to help the person improve something like: "I'm personally not a fan of this, but I want to point out..." If the person explodes just leave them be. If you genuinely dislike something that has good quality, I think you should share your opinion but in a respectful way.

Now you may be wondering why I brought this up, well I noticed a lack of dislike. I could make some trash (in fact, here you go)

Now I can tell you five shotty things about this picture

1. Non colored skin

Sure, it's a style, but if you look at my other posts it's obvious it's not my style, if I was gonna try something new I'd mention something but that's just me.

2.Details

Looking at it you see it's a really plain picture. that five color thing? Yeah. That counts for something.

3. In the lines.

It's pretty clear I was rushing, because there's coloring out of the lines everywhere!

4. Shading

Shade isn't necessary. It's definitely something I try and do though, which also falls under the explanation. Why would I suddenly have no shade? Sure it COULD be a style, but as said I would mention it.

5. That green dot in the corner.

If I really cared I would have checked for that, and sure some things slip past us, we're human. But I usually check my pictures for things like that.

I know those things applied to me, but I was the person who made this.

Enough stalling, what I'm saying is we tend to praise things a whole lot, in fact there's this. It's complete trash! HOW did it get praise? Sure the idea was good but it's so low quality and ridiculously hard to see! I basically want to see some constructive criticism. Especially on my art/stories and I'm sure some people agree. I do want to improve, I just have no idea where to start.
