Emotional energy are essences extracted from people as ingredients mixed into some glowy liquid. Red is angry energy, yellow is joyful energy, blue is sad energy, pink is love energy, and the byproduct is black being depressive energy, which it does nothing as an energy source. The extreme the emotions are, the more effective it becomes, and produces faster the more honest the essence seems.
Part 1, The Stream
Leela is helping Farnsworth's stream by being the camera. Farnsworth says, "Hello everyone, welcome to the livestream. Good news, everyone, I have found a way to make unique forms of energy." After explaining, he showed small jars filled with emotional energy. He Interviewed Fry, comparing the past and future. The result of the past is overwhelmingly black, the rest is blue, the future is all colors, no black. There's pink, referencing Leela.
He even hired the most happiest, most saddest, most angriest, most romantic, and most depressed human each. He showed his viewers extracting their essences, especially the most romantic human kissing Fry in the process for extracting her essence. That actually dazed Fry. Then at the part with the most depressed human, Professor said, "I've been told that he's been living at his parents' house for 28 whole years. There's too little he knows except playing reality games (Referencing video games). I'm also told he has no friends to start off his own life with." He put on the extractor on him, then he said to the most depressed human, "Now for your answer. The only way for you to get a friend properly is to get a job or volenteer in a charity group" The depressive energy is filling up. That jar is way huger than the rest, which they are all full enough. Farnsworth knew that would get everyone's attention. Farnsworth did mention that depressive energy is the most controversal energy.
The depressed said "What? Your answer is just like everyone else! I don't know how to get a job, All I do know is to get a resume to get a career chip, to get a job, but HOW should I get a resume? I really don't know! I don't know anything! Ack! No one cared! No one cared for me at all. No one... really cared." That jar is nearly full of depressive energy. Farnsworth took off that extractor, then he replied back, "Just kidding, Find a place where it contains the person and leaf icon. It's the most effective way to make a friend this way. There are no conditions any observant people says it has. It's highly illegal to set any form of conditions for a friendship here, except for simple categorization, plus it's been invented months ago. If you don't want to be alone, enter any zone and sit on a seat labeled as you're a victor and a volenteer would sit right next or on front of you" The most depressed human has this depressed look, feeling uncertain about the logo.
From that stream, the depressive energy in that huge jar and Fry's interview caught attention of Therantists (Therapist and Scientist combind type of people) around the universe. Thanks to the depressed's words and Farnsworth's explaination of depressive energy, the angriest had to self reflect, the saddest befriended him, the happiest gotten gotten a little more caring, and the romantic to stop kissing people and started to look after him. Eventually, that friend group of the depressed, the saddest, and the romantic is formed. The romantic especially doesn't want him to die alone. Even if the depressed doesn't talk much, they'll be on his side, no matter what, which made him happy, more calmer, more active on what he wanted to do. He actually felt cared for once, that experience he never felt since childhood.
I know what some depressed from lonliness people would think, what would they react as if it's offensive. Making friends by being in a job or volenteering in a charity group seemed like a common answer from others on how to properly make a friend in person. I might've overreacted with this answer, but the way I think things, I imagine things like scenarios is to get a job, You'll need to have friends in person willing to be there for you, and to earn a friend in person, You musn't lack communication skills in person, and try to while on a job or in a charity group. I overreacted because there are a lot of scenarios I couldn't get a single friend in person. Be careful on what you say to those people as they think of scenarios like "people don't want me" or "I don't know how to get there" scenarios for example. Depression isn't that simple. Actually, some stay-at-parent-home people are depressed. If you tell one of them to leave, they may think of scenarios like if they leave, they know they cannot care for themselves, so as a result, they cannot leave, even if they wanted to. They might overreact and say "nobody cares for me" or "nobody wants me" and I feel it might hit hard.
Part 2, Mom the Dictator
The entire Planet Express and crew are fleeing from the Nimbus, and on the Nimbus's command chair is none other than Mom herself. Amy and Fry didn't know the crew are fleeing, but they wanted to prank the crew. The Planet Express ship ran out of fuel. Mom said, "Disengage, Prepare to dock them in." Fry carried angry energy in a jar and Amy carried love energy in a jar. Fry won Rock Paper Scissors and he poured that into the tank, which the thrusters bursts out a massive flame, destroying the Nimbus's bottom left wing, causing the ship to steer down to the left. Bender tried to shoot the huge jar out into space, but the speeding Nimbus smashed the jar, smearing the depressive energy onto the ship. Reminder, This is the extreme depressive energy from the depressed. The fighter ships did attack the PE ship, but the thruster emitted thick pink bubbles. The PE's energy shields are low, but at the last moment, The last blow hits a big bubble, wrapping the ship into itself. The Professor, Hermes, and Leela are confused. The last blow did not even hit the ship, but all they see that they're in a big bubble. The fighter ships did whatever they can to pop that bubble, but it is too durable. Lasers, barrage of missiles, nothing could pop that bubble. Mom said "Prepare the massive laser cannon." She smiled maniacally, but when the laser hits the bubble, it is too strong. Mom got surprised in inconvenience.
24 hours later, While both ships are stranded, The cleaners tried to clean the black stain on the Nimbus, then saw that its armor is damaged. They know that no glass projectiles can pierce though this armor. There's a hole in the armor, caused by the depressive energy. The command deck received complaints about holes in the armor from that very stain. Zapp said, "Uh-oh, That stain is trouble. I'm rewatching Farnsworth's Emotional energy stream. Here, have a look." Mom now realizes that the depressive energy is more harmful than it looks. Then the command deck received a complaint that the depressive energy is spreading, Mom had this idea, and commanded "Throw the infected armor on the Nimbus onto that bubble." They threw the infected armor onto the bubble and it's slightly effective. Leela said "Professor, we have a crack in the bubble that Fry and Amy made" Professor observed and said, "My, my! That crack is so tiny. I wonder if the Nimbus's armor is cracking because of the depressive energy and... they're throwing laced armor at us... Genius! That does give me some time to invent something more."
4 hours later, Raid began and ships are shooting fragmented armor at the bubble, 15 minutes later, the ships retreated because they're out of ammo and one gun exploded thanks to depressive energy, a thruster exploded thanks to depressive energy, and wing melted off thanks to depressive energy. There are several small holes in the bubble. One ship crashed right onto the stain. Mom called in the massive laser cannon. Leela said "We're so out of time." Farnsworth said "I bet the massive laser cannon stopped working. That depressed somehow caused it to have a purpose. No one cared. It wants to destroy everything that didn't care. Look, the cannon's infected." The cannon explodes trying to emit a laser. The Nimbus's armor couldn't be peeled off anymore. The bubble suddenly started to heal itself with leftover smaller bubbles stranded in space.
20 more hours later, The crew is hungry Leela wished that the bubble is gone because the ship is ready to move. Farnsworth said, "Good news, everyone! I invented a device called the Travinator. It teleports you to where you want to go." Leela asked, "Quick question, Have you noticed that Fry's being followed by bubbles... Not only that, his jacket being shiny pink lately?" Fry noticed. Farnsworth placed Fry's past energy into the invention. Fry commanded the big bubble to be in shape as the ship. As Leela is about to fly to Earth, Mom's piloting fighter ship pursued. What the travinator did is to send the ship to the year 2000, right before Fry was frozen. The truth is, they've created a whole new parallel universe. The ship landed on front of Fry house. The entire Fry family heard the ship land. They saw the ship. They never believed who went out of that ship. Mom's ship never gotten into the past. The Nimbus started exploding. Some evacuated safely, including Zapp and Kif.
Part 3, The Past Visit
Fry came out of the ship, along with Farnsworth, came running back to his family, hugging them. The spaceship flew off right after just to avoid causing trouble. His mother cried when he said that he's away from them for so long. He even mentioned that he's frozen into the future. Yancy Jr got jealous. He introduced them their family great grandson, Professor Farnsworth. They had dinner together, they played together, they taught each other... then a day later, Professor said that it's time to go back to the future. The entire family snuck into the ship, just so worried about Fry. The ship blasted off and went back to the future.
Turns out, The parallel universe was a void looking orb in Mom's hand for an hour before a spaceship destroyed it. Everyone (except Fry's parents and brother) inside that universe died January 2, 2000, but the universe wasn't from Fry's memories, it's a duplicate of the the default universe's past. It was destroyed from the inside because of the Planet Express ship.
Here's a flashback, Mom was surprised that the ship turned into a void looking ball. The Nimbus exploded, causing a mess. Mom grabbed the orb with her fighter ship's tractor beam. Mom would do whatever it takes to visit the universe Farnsworth created, but an hour later, the universe flied on its own, them Mom had to take cover. A pink shielded spaceship bursts out. The building shook. Mom would have to deal a much bigger threat, Fragments of the Nimbus rained down on Earth, which some are infected fragments. One infected fragment landed inside Mom's building inside the vents. Water is the Depressive energy's greatest weakness. It renders it destroyed, but pollution would happen there. Most of the Nimbus fell into water.
Everybody in the Planet Express ship felt a shook going back to the future. The ship broke out of the orb, smashed out of Mom's building's interior, and hit other buildings and finally smashing the massive TV screen. Fry family came to the bridge and asked "What's going on here?" Farnsworth said "We never had a turbulance going into the past, and we didn't expect a turbulance going back into the future."
A week later, the court demands both Mom and Farnsworth paying for property damage, terrorism, and to clean up the mess they made, Plus for Farnsworth to keep crafting extractors for emotional energy to science and therapy labs in several countries or provide blueprints. Fry got a new job to be a delivery driver for Konovian. He is tasked to deliver materials around the universe. Rare liquids, rare metals, rare materials around the universe. Of course, His dad is his partner in work. Sherri has been hired to be a house cleaner and Yancy Jr is hired to be a construction worker. Leela is hired to be a police enforcer thanks to her combat skills.
Fry managed to buy a house somewhere on Earth and lets all his family live here, including Leela. This variant of Sherri also had a dream that Fry hugged her. The family hugged Fry so warmly.
It does sound like a sweet ending, but I still imagine there are still a mess filled with depressive energy. I do hate ending with a cliff-hanger, If people likes the story idea, I'd do more of that.
