I found the perfect fur color for Kais darker orange color, like exactly the same color. But it’s a custom made color and it’s available till it runs out. Soooo I wanna maybe prep a bit.

If I ever decided to get a full suit (plantigrade) of Kai and a 2.0 head in the future, would 1 yard cover that? Or would I need 2 to be safe? It’s pretty expensive, I’m on the fence about how I should go about this.

It comes in Fox pile too but the bunny pile is said to be softer, I’m a very texture driven person. And I wouldn’t mind if it’s short.

I think if you're using the 1 yard in a smart way, it should be more than enough

But if you're nervous about it, buy 2 yards and resell it later on if there is left over!

Or for the future and a 2.0 fursuit/repairs etc, you can use the left overs

You definitely only need one yard since it's such a tiny amount of area, you can get 2 yards though just to be safe

I'm not a fursuit maker, so keep in mind my advice may not be the best, but based on a bit of research and some personal experience with other projects, I'd go with 2-3 yards, if not more. You may end up with extra fur left over, but that's better than not enough fur, especially with custom made fur. Plus, if something happens in the future where you'd need those extra pieces, you'll have them.
