It's been a year since I first ed this app, can you believe it? I owe a lot to Furry Amino, especially because I started out with art like this ↓

I finished that piece exactly a year ago today and the response I got from the community here was heartwarming. Everyone was very kind and motivated me to keep doing art.
Though if I had stopped drawing, I wouldn't have been broken up about it, I was very satisfied with my art from last year. But if I had quite and stopped growing never would have gotten to see how much I improved. And I'm SO glad I kept going because working on the redraw of that piece kind of stunned me.

I'm so proud of myself! Not only do the characters have recognizable species now, but the lineart, coloring, and anatomy have all improved leaps and bounds.
This is exactly one calendar year of difference, y'all. So if you're feeling down on yourself and you're not satisfied with your art, just keep going. Persistence was the main driving force behind this improvement.
I'm so glad to be a part of this community and I'm so happy that I'll get to draw more for y'all. Who knows where I'll be next year, but if all goes well I'll be doing another redraw
Feel free to ask about the process of my art, I'm always happy to give drawing tips
Edit: thanks for the feature!!

How do you grasp the direction of your light? The shading
I have to it I'm still not the best at it but I pick a direction that the light is coming from and then draw shadows from the opposite direction. You also have to think of the characters as 3d objects and have the light bend around them. It takes a lot of practice
THAT'S AMAZING
The improvement is stunning indeed! Simply amazing work. Keep it up!
Boston terrier!!! Yasssss
