Some of these AC s have amazes me, honestly. It is so comedic and fascinating to see the value they give AC coins. They treat AC coins like diamonds, a rare resource hard to come by. I was totally down for amino coins, still am, I like that you can give props to people, buy cute little themes and it gives children a taste of what it's like to do business. But the very same children have ruined, never imagined I would ever say this but,
the amino coin economy.
I see people offering high quality art that's literally worth 50+ bucks for 10 coins, Im not even exaggerating or joking, I have actually seen this and I felt angry for the artist because that's practically an insult to their hard work.
120 coins = 1 dollar
You're not even offer a dollar
And a lot of artists who do takes coins are not helping either, they'll price their art 50 coins which is less than a dollar. I understand not thinking you're art is not worth a dollar but no art is worth cents unless its just a pair or parallel lines or something that took you 1 second.
Everyone seems to have forgotten 120 coins is about a dollar (either that or no one has bothered to learn), in all honestly it's not even worth that because of how easily you can get coins. You get some just g in everyday, you can get some by watching ads, hell you can even get coins just by asking. The easier they are to get, they lesser the value of something.
Now if the AC artist would hold themselves to just a little more value, pricing their art based on the actual value of coins according to Amino, maybe even going higher than that. Than that'll reinforce the value of amino coins which will in turn teach kids how not to underpay themselves and those who want to buy art, will learn how to save up their money and respect the artists hard work.
But More importantly
We won't see anymore kids offering 5 fecking coins for a God tier art work
Or
God tier artwork being sold for 5 fecking coins
So you if you are guilty of any of this, buying or selling, for God sakes
Please save the amino coin economy
Sorry if this offended anybody! I am, obviously, frustrated with being offered coins or seeing others being offered coins for less than what their art is worth. And I really do like the idea of coins, amino coins is one step closer to being an actual adult in the work field, it's just sort of a step in the not so right direction rn.
But you know, I can't stop you if you wanna price your art 5 coins, you are you're own person so be it.

I can definitely see where you're coming from, but I see a lot of artist do AC commissions for "exposure" or testing the waters for real money commissions since AC commissions are way easier to do. And for the commissioner they get to know the artist, how long their art takes etc. As an example I've commissioned artist through AC and it was a great experience so I'm definitely going to commission them with real money in the future
Yeah the coin thing is crap. When someone says “Can I pay you in coins” I nope right out of there :satisfied:
I do agree with this, but I feel like my art isn’t really worth more than one dollar. Idk if that’s just me being a little brat or what
You're not being a brat, idk the word for it but you're just not believing in yourself. If you put the time and effort into your art, then your art is automatically worth more than a dollar

Yeah you’ve got a point there.
I've seen someone ask for a 3 sided reference sheet and offer 20-30 coins for it. I hate amino coins they don't feed you or pay the bills so they're essentially worthless to an older artist with art as one of their forms of income
