Propagation

Specifically, propagation in succulents and… vining plants??

I don’t know how to describe it. Whether it be a Succulent, Snake Plant. That is what piques my interest.

If it’s just a regular Pothos, orrr Monstera or Philodendron, I know there’s a node that a new leaf and stem will grow from. So it doesn’t shock me as much.

A few weeks ago, I laid some succulents and others on some soil and left them alone to hopefully have them root and grow.

I think I made a post about it, but they did indeed send out roots. From JUST their leaf. I mean, that’s all they were. Nothing but a leaf.

But have the ability to send out a root, and even whole new leaves from the bottom of the leaf?? It’s just, the COOLEst thing ever

But, here is the main reason for the post.

It probably isn’t to you. I’m just a silly furry who loves plants so much, but just… GAWWWD is this so cool!!

It literally has two small leaves that actually GREW at the bottom of the leaf! Like… HOW!!! Obviously because of some type of node or plant sht but, LITERALLY?!?!

The stuff that plants will do to keep living, is just incredible!

I think it piques my interest even more, is because the new leaves are just so small, and it’s so silly to me. Like little baby leaves, that the plant will hopefully grow more and more into a bigger plant.

Not every single leaf and thing I tried to propagate succeeded. Some died, and that’s okay

But a few did, and it’s made me so happy.

There is no way for me to write and explain just how cool this is. It’s just. Literally so cool and interesting. I mean, it made a whole new plant, from just a leaf. Just a leaf. And it's its own plant now. So sick.
