Beware of scams in this fandom!!

I got a fair few comments on this video about how people have been scammed here on Furry Amino. So I think it's worth I share this one here. Scammers will sadly always exist, but I hope this video will help you gain the knowledge to avoid any potential scammers targeting you!

:warning: Always when paying with PayPal, send the money as GOODS AND SERVICES, NOT FAMILY/FRIENDS. If you do family friends, PayPal considers the money a gift and you have no standing on getting the money back if the person you sent it to doesn't deliver a product.

:warning: You also need to be OVER 18 to open a PayPal . Your can be shut down if there is proof that says otherwise. Commissioners can actually "'win" their money back if you're an artist that is under 18 and they paid you PayPal money for art. All they have to do is file a dispute, and when your PayPal is under dispute they demand proof of ID and usually proof of address as well. For which you need something like a port, driver's licence, birth certificate, rental ledger, phone bill, electrical bill, or a rental agreement. If you can't prove you're over 18 and live at your address, bye bye PayPal and bye bye money. It sucks, but unfortunately that is what you agree to when you tick "I agree" to PayPal's and services.
