hello leaders of FIA, im tavia, and this is my curator application <3

why do you want to be a curator?

:: well, I love that when your on the staff team, it's like a little family! On most of the aminos I am or have been a leader or curator on, i was/am really close to the other staff .

I also enjoy helping the community run smoothly and keeping everyone happy.

do you have experience being a curator before?

:: yes! I am a leader in 2 other aminos, I have been a curator in many other aminos but have had to retire because I was overworking myself. I now am limiting myself to being on staff in no more than 3 communities to prevent being overworked and not abandoning anyone.

what are your strengths and weaknesses in a team or group setting?

:: well I am very flexible as far as working in a group. I have good people skills and I am great at explaining things. I have good post making skills and I enjoy making them!

As for weaknesses, I can tend to be overly polite sometimes and when I give people warnings/strikes (which I've done before), I try to word it too nicely rather than simply stating what they did wrong. But I am working on it and getting better each day <3

:: my timezone is EST and I'm in america.

:: I've not been in this amino super long, but I am pretty active! I've been on amino for over 2 years haha.

:: I've only just ed today, but I've thoroughly read the guidelines and master wiki, and made my icebreaker post!

:: very well! They do not seem out if the ordinary, as I've been on staff in many other communities. The guidelines are very straightforward in my opinion.

:: not at all!

if you are the only moderation member active, what would you do if another member was breaking the rules?

:: I would confront them in pms or through a warning, telling them what the issue is, and what will happen if it continues.

Example: "hello! I'm tavia, a curator here on FIA. It has come to my attention that you have been [insert problem], and that is violating the guidelines. It is not allowed, as it can be offensive to other , and can make people uncomfortable. I reccomend you read through the guidelines and make sure you know them. If the problem continues you will be given a strike."

a member in the community continuously threatens to harass or bully another member in a public chat. what steps would you take to handle the situation?

:: I would pm them, rather than handling it in a public chat setting. I'd tell them why what they are doing is wrong. Ex. "It is offensive and makes people uncomfortable or even scared."

If the bullying does not stop I will give them a strike.

how would you discuss with a member that their post or chatroom has been disabled? please use detail.

:: I'd tell them that it did not meet the guidelines for the post/chatroom. If it's a chatroom, it cannot be innactive for more than seven days and must have a minimum of 3 rules. And roleplay chats must have a plot, link to co-hosts and guidelines. If it's a post, it must have at least 5 words or one sentence. And if the post/chatroom is in some way, offensive, I'd tell them why or how.

your friend has made several spam posts after you have been promoted to curator because they think they will not get disciplinary action. how would you handle the situation? please use detail.

:: as they are my friend, I would casually confront them in pms, telling them that just because I have been made curator does not mean I can ignore *specifically* my friends' actions. Every member must abide by the rules, and even if they are my friend I still have to enforce the rules on them.

a member has come to you, privately, about another who has been bullying them in private messages. what steps would you take to handle this situation?

:: first I will ask them for screenshot proof of the bullying, and I link to the profile of the harasser. I'd tell the "victim" to not try an take it into their own hands and that I will take care of it. I'd pm the harasser and tell them what theyve done wrong and that it can result in a ban if it does not stop.
