Three faces of a Goddess

During the Great Fusion, reality became unstable. To prevent it from breaking, Quella stabilized it by creating Nebula, the plane of Dreams. But in the process, her very existence fragmented into three shards, corresponding to the three faces of religion.

Across the land, many had heard and praised the Old Guard, also called the Sentinels, and the deity they served as heralds. This was Quella, the Goddess of Dreams, motherly and protective, represented in a white ivory tree and the blue shine of moonlight. After the fragmentation, Quella remained as the protector and main deity of dreams, reigning in Nebula over any other entity.

But in the remote marshes of Arestis, the frozen tundra of Lirid and through the desert lands of Yugo, the Goddess of Dreams was known for a different name: Angrboda, Graith, and Sethi. Primal shamans and nomand people feared the horrors and curses that could be laid upon them if their faith wasn't strong enough, but also knew this as a protection against others who would try to subyugate them. In these places, the Goddess of Dreams was worshiped in sacrifice and blood, and after the fragmentation, it was the name of Angrboda that remained, as the Goddess of Fear. She wasn't as powerful as Quella, but became the ruler of Nightmares when the time came.

There is a third one, that they call the presence, unseen, untouched, unheard. Pharos the Unreached, was the formless representation of the Goddess. What the mind cannot comprehend, what the faith cannot grasp, the silence surrounding the legends. After the fragmentation, Pharos absorbed old witch Yureith, who was trying to reach for Arcana, and banished into silence. Like the Goddess that caught her, she surrounded all, but couldn't be felt anywhere.
