For me, AL stands for Anno Lunare, which means "year of the Moon". Since my dates in the gathering of historical records on the events of Silverwood use the last fusion of the Silver Moonlight as the starting point, it makes sense.
Before the Fusion, dates are timed "Before Lunar Era" (BLE).
