Here’s my entry for #BirthdayChallenge2018. My type of animatronic is: ignited. My twist is: unreliable narrator. Now this story will play in The Joy Of Creation Story Mode. The protagonist is Nick, Scott’s child (which you play as in the bedroom). It’s after the attack but before he comes back. (that rhymes.) Enjoy!
It was a few years after the attack. Nick was 15 years old. Wait, no, he was 11 years old! Yes. His birthday was today. Excited he ran down the stairs, right into the kitchen. His father- no, his mother was there making breakfast. She greeted him with a smile. Nick smiled back and sat down at the table waiting for a ‘Happy Birthday’. But nothing came.
As soon as breakfast was ready his father came into the kitchen and sat down next to Nick. Not even a ‘Good morning’. His mother gave out the food. Eggs and bacon……..no…..pancakes! I don’t know…...how about…..bread? You know what? Cereal! He got cereal! Now where were we? Ah, yes! Awkward silence. Nick finished his cereal. “Didn’t you forget something?”, he asked his parents. They look at each other than back at their son. “No, what should we have forgotten?”, his father asked. “Today's date?”, Nick replied. “Saturday.” Nick looked a bit angry, “No, what is today?” His dad look at him and said, “Weekend?” Nick facepalmed. He stood up and went to his room. His parents did nothing. Wow, they have no interest in their son….Forget the last sentence. No wait, I mean the sentence before the last sentence! But if you already forgot about the last sentence and I tell you to forget the sentence before the last sentence, you would forget the sentence before the sentence I want you to forget. Now my brain’s hurting…….Just forget the last six sentences…..His parents called his name but as they didn’t get an answer they just left him alone.
Nick was in his room. “Did they really forget my birthday?”, he was crying,....no he was just sad. He wanted to go back to bed as he saw something. It was a note right in the middle of his bed. Nick took it and read it.
Dear Nick,
After you read this note, please meet us in the basement.
We have a surprise for you to make up for the things we did.
No one signed. Nick thought it was his parents throwing a surprise birthday party for him. That’s why they pretended to have forgotten his birthday! He ran out of his room and to the basement.
It was dark. He needed to go down the stairs, because the light switch is at the bottom. As he reached the end of the staircase the basement door closed. He didn’t think too much of it and switched on the light. In the middle of the basement was a table, on it was a cake. He went up to it. On top of the cake was ‘Happy Birthday Nick’ written. Nick smiled. But where were his parents? He heard footsteps. A lot of footsteps. It sounds like someone dragging their feet on the ground. He re these noises.
He thought about the note. ‘...to make up for what we did.’ His heart stopped and he died……...he didn’t die…..not yet at least! Wait, what? No deaths in this story?! This is a FNaF story! There needs to be deaths! Oh, come on! Alright, alright. No deaths. Where were we? His heart stopped and a shiver ran down his spine. The lights turned off. He turned around out of panic. The lights went back on. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY, VICTIM- uh….NICK!”, the animatronics screamed in union.
Nick stood still. Shouldn’t he scream? But that would alert his parents and that would ruin all the fun! But it would be more realistic….nah. “We hope you like the cake, we didn’t know which flavor you like the most.”, said Ignited Chica. Nick didn’t move a single inch. “I think we broke him.”, said Ignited Foxy. Ignited Golden Freddy came up to the frozen boy. “We’re not here to hurt you. We just wanted to apologize and eat you- I mean celebrate your birthday!” Nick looked at him. “Really?”, he asked with a shaking voice. All the animatronics nodded. Nick smiled again. At least someone ed his birthday. They played games, talked and ate the cake. Well...Nick ate the cake, animatronics can’t eat. While they were having fun Nicks parents searched for him. In the backyard were family and friends of Nick. His parents didn’t forget and had an even better party outside but Nick celebrated with the killer animatronics who attacked them some years ago. Funny is it not? Then a meteor fell onto the house and everyone died!...........What? I’m just joking. The Ignited animatronics killed Nick, that’s the end………….You’re still not satisfied? Alright. Nick befriended the animatronics and had the best birthday ever! Better? Good.
The End…….or is it?
Yeah it is.
Bye.
