On a cool morning at Freddy Fazbear’s Mega PizzaPlex, a strange, whimsical, and eccentric fox visits the town of Hurricane, Utah, and the Mega PizzaPlex, where story time for the children at the Daycare is being held. The most famous children’s storyteller is going to be there…none other than Miles Fox, himself, has come to delight the children! But when a virus breaks out in the Pizzaplex, Miles finds himself seemingly thrown into panic, as he tries to lead the children to safety, a series of terrifying events begin to unfold. With the help of Gregory the two work together to put an end to the Glitch virus, and to reset power back to the PizzaPlex before it’s too late. Reader Beware…You’re In For A Scare!

This short story is based on Miles Fox and the PizzaPlex, and other works written by SpringBonnie! This story was written by Miles Ash Fox, which serves as another short story idea that I’ve decided to do. From the author of Jeremy and the Chocolate Factory, Beware the Grinch of Christmas, comes a whimsical and imaginative…with a rather frightening, and chilling story. When things don’t appear as quiet as they seem, and horrifying events begin to send shivers and chills down those who are brave to embark on this journey. “A little magic a take you a long way.”—Roald Dahl, “We’re all DIFFERENT…but there’s something kind of FANTASTIC about that isn’t there?”—Roald Dahl.

It was a chilly, breezy morning of October, and the pile of dead brown leaves on the street rustled, as a crisp autumn breeze rustled through the town.

Coming down the road was a 1958, red-and-white, four door, Plymouth Fury with dual round-shaped twin headlights, a chrome long grille, wraparound windshield, and whitewall tires, with its engine rumbling softly. On the front of the car, there was a white license plate which read MR FOX‘N’HAT.

On the roof of the car, there were bright, noticeable red-and-white stripes, which ran along the roof of the car, and on the back of the car (where the two tailwind stood out), they resembled more like modified batwings—which still seemed to resemble the original red fins, which the ‘58 Plymouth Furies had back then.

Sitting behind the steering wheel of this rather lava running car was a reddish-orange, two-tailed fox named Miles Fox!

He was on his way to the Mega PizzaPlex, because he was chosen as one of the storytellers for the Daycare center for story time. And his name happened to be drawn out of a hat, which seemed that his name had been drawn out seemingly with luck.

Now, here he was, sitting behind the steering wheel of this Plymouth Fury, on his way to the PizzaPlex to entertain the children, and had also written a speech to talk to them: about how reading shouldn’t be a boring, frivolous, daunting chore—but something imaginative, fun, exciting, and entertaining!

The car looked like something straight out of a Dr. Seuss, or a Tim Burton film—As if Dr. Seuss and Tim Burton had gotten hold of this Plymouth Fury, painted the body red and white (as if from Dr. Seuss’s colors of choice), then added the modified batwings on the back from the original tail fins. A deg style by Tim Burton, and the upholstery seats inside, were given red leather seats as red as a fire engine.

With matching white stripes along the sides; with black and green stripes, and a strange worm-like creature that resembled a white-and-black striped worm-like creature from a whimsical, fantasy film that could’ve only been conceived from the mind of Tim Burton.

He turned to look at his watch, which was strapped on his wrist on his right hand, sitting near the edge of his pearly gray gloves, he looked at the time. It was 10:00 AM, and he was on time. He still had an hour or two to get there, and set up his reading area—his little reading nook: a place where he could set up his little “writing shed,” where he could sit down to get really comfortable, before the kids would start to pour into the PizzaPlex.

He turned on the air conditioning—despite the weather being a brisk cold temperature out.

It was getting close to jacket weather; but still that bit of warmth left, where children could go outside and run out in T-shirts and not give a single care in the world.

Acting like it was still summer and not the beginning of Autumn season. Miles smiled, reassuring himself that everything was going to be ok, and that his job was being a writer and a storyteller, so part of his job was to entertain the children with his books.

But, he couldn’t help but feel a bit nervous, as he neared the parking lot of the Mega Pizzaplex. He turned around, pulled into the lot, and drove around looking for a decent place to park his car.

Over the horizon, in the distance, the golden sun begins to creep much higher into the sky.

Finally, he’d found a spot, and quickly turned the car, and muffler on the back belching put a few clouds of blue smoke, pulled the car into park, and turned off the engine—not before tinkling, idolly, for a few minutes before dying into silence. He pulled the keys out from the ignition, put them into his faded bottle greenish black-colored pants, opened the door, and stepped out. Closing the driver-side door shut behind him.

Towering over him in the distance, was a tall, looming building that seemed to stretch and reach the sky, while looking down at the small, timid-sized two-tailed fox.

The large bank of windows seemed to look down at him like a bunch of eyes fixed at him.

A chill rushed down his back, as he stood stilly, rooted, to the ground of the parking lot as the imposing structure of the Mega PizzaPlex stared down at him like dozens of eyes in the windows. While looking at the building, it seemed to look down at him and mock him, staring at him with those glassy windows—which more so resembled eyes instead of windows….

Suddenly, Miles thought of a chilling age that he’d had read a while back, from a Shirley Jackson novel called The Haunting of Hill House. Within, walls continued upright, bricks met neatly, floors were firm, and doors were sensibly shut; silence lay steadily against the wood and stone of Hill House, and whatever walked there, walked alone. He felt another I crisply chill, as it rushed down his back as he reflected on what that age in the book had meant.

That whatever lurked inside that old house, remains inside lurking alone. A chilling tale of a haunted house in seclusion that seemed to drive people insane when they ventured inside.

The sun glistened brightly over the roof of the PizzaPlex, and Miles squinted his eyes in pain, and looked away quickly.

Rubbing them with both of his hands—hoping to help ease the pain away. A few moments ed, and the pain began to ease away, and he looked at the main entrance doors to the building.

“Well, Miles,” he said to himself optimistically, a smile beginning to grow on his face. “Let’s make the most of it, and get ready to entertain the children: by reading them some books!”

He walked up the path to the main doors, pushed one of them open, and stepped inside. As he made his way in, he spotted one of the staff working up front, as well as a few of the staff bots roaming around the area.

Today was going to be interesting for Miles, as he walked up, ing one of the guards on shift. When he seemed to get his attention, he kindly tipped the brim of his black top hat to the guard, the guard waved at him, and buzzed him through. As he walked through one of the gates, he happened to notice that all the lights have been on, and music was already playing, loudly, throught speakers as soon as he had came in. Wondering if this was the time that the PizzaPlex regularly opened up, and the guards started their shifts by clicking in, and just sitting at the check in’s where their offices reside in.

Looking all around him he noticed that since the PizzaPlex was decked out in brilliant, gleaming lights and colors, and that the place was centered around the Glamrock theme. Then looking at his appearance he knew that his sense of style wasn’t quite fitting with the theme, but he shrugged it off and carried on his way.

On his head was a black top hat: with a faded, purple-colored band around the brim, he wore a golden-colored waistcoat, a beautiful, plum-colored velvet tailcoat—with two long tails that seemed to flap about whenever the energetic, and yet rather eccentric fox dashed around the place filled with glee.

On his hands he wore pearly gray gloves, a golden waistcoat, a silver-ish chrome chain that hung neatly on his waist, darkened bottle green pants, brown boots—which seemed to have faded over the years, and now resembled a much darker, black color now.

On his neck he wore a big, chocolate-colored bow tie, with multicolored spots. Looking closer at his outfit, at a distance, it appeared to make him stand out rather extraordinarily!

Suddenly, while Miles was gazing around at all the wonderful sights that he, Miles Ash Fox, was about to discover—a chrome map bot appeared right beside him, which caused quite a scare for the poor Fox rightfully so.

“Take a map,” the map bot said, then, it began to scan him from head to toe. Once the scanning was done, it said, “Welcome, to Freddy Fazbear’s Mega PizzaPlex, Miles Fox! You are now a guest in our databanks! Please,” it continued, holding out a white pamphlet for him, in a monotone, programmed voice. “Take a map!”

He looked at the map that the staff bot held in its robotic hand, extending it out for him to take. With a bit of curiosity, Miles tucked his walking cane into the crook of his arm, took the map from the staff bot, tipped the brim of his hat to it, an, and walked away; while also unfolding the map to get a general idea of where everything was in this massive mall-like Mega PizzaPlex.

Looking at the directions and locations on the map, he lowered it down from his face, then looked around at his surroundings….

Well, it sure is a pretty huge place, must be the reason why they call it the Mega PizzaPlex, Miles thought to himself with a smile on his face.

In his other hand—which was holding onto the pamphlet—he carried what looked, like a seemingly ordinary brown-colored wooden, wooden traveling case. With four golden plates on the top and bottom corners on the front and back, with hinges on the sides.

On the front of the case; which looked like two wooden plates opened up, was a word written neatly in golden cursive script was the word WONKA in gold, swirly script writing. Miles held a firm grip on the brow strap handle, and walked with the case gently swinging side to side, as he made his way over towards the elevators.

The traveling case contained all his manuscripts, books, writings, candy, and chocolates—as well as the mini factory machines were concealed inside that was used as his traveling, portable chocolate factory for him on the move.

It was named M.A FOX, because it was the initials of his name, Miles Ash Fox. And it was in the same as his license plate on the car was in the style of Dr. Seuss, Roald Dahl, and Tim Burton as it said FOX’N’HAT.

Even the headlights and tail lights for his car were plum-colored and bright green colored lights, which was custom made.

As he made his way over towards the elevator, he pulled out his walking cane from the crook of his arm, rested his hand on the ball-shaped top, which was a beautiful white-and-black swirled top, and pressed one of the buttons; calling the elevator.

The floor counter above the elevator pinged, as the elevator came down each floor number, the closer as it reached the lobby level…7…6…5…4…3…2…1…L. Suddenly, the doors opened up, and bright colorful light poured out from the elevator far, and Miles stepped inside, and turned around. Looking quickly back at the pamphlet, at a glance, eying which floor was the Daycare Center, he thumbed the floor button. The doors closed shut. Then, music began playing, as the elevator car began to rise back upwards to his floor.

Up above on the ceiling, it was decorated with a black, starry night, and four large, round-shaped cool-white lights, and a large white light ring around in the middle. The walls were teal blue, with posters of the featured Glamrock animatronics: Freddy Fazbear, Montgomery Gator, Chica the Chicken, Roxanne Wolf, but strangely enough…there wasn’t a Foxy the Pirate Fox—not even a poster for Bonnie the Bunny.

As the elevator continued to rise, the light above the doors continued to rise, counting off each floor level, then, it began to slow down as it reached the ground floor.

Outside in the hallway of the Mega PizzaPlex, the elevator gave a loud DING!, and the doors opened.

Stepping out from the elevator, was a tall, elegant man. Wearing a tall black top hat, a beautiful plum-colored velvet tailcoat, a glistening golden waistcoat, and a chocolate-colored bow tie: with big, multicolored spots.

On his hand were pearly gray gloves. His pants were a vibrant, bottle green, with faded brown boots, which now looked like a old blackish brown, a silvery chrome waistcoat chain that hung on his waist, and in one hand, he carried a fine white-and-black swirled; ball-shaped topped walking cane.

On his coat were two purple-colored lapels, with a brooch pin in the shape of two reddish-orange colored tails on the left right lapel, his eyes were a glistening, dancing blue, his hair was black, with streaks of reddish-orange in his hair, and a black-colored goatee beard on his face.

And his face—his face was alight with full of energy, fun, laughter…and a hint of whimsical imagination and eccentricity. Most of his hair happened to stick up in a rather messily—and yet, also as a rather eccentric, whimsical sort of style!

His name was Miles Ash Fox!

“It’s time to start spreading imagination,” Miles Fox said energetically, with a smile spreading from ear to ear. “And, to start encouraging children to grow an ever-growing love for reading. Because, reading shouldn’t ever be something boring—instead, reading should be filled with fun, imagination, and creativity….Not something boring, dull, and daunting.” Miles Fox continued. “Reading that discourages a reader is not something fun, or filled with imagination.

“Reading encourages creativity, imagination, and above all…endless amounts of entertainment! Why should readers want to be preached at? Reading should allow others to escape a world of reality; when reality gets too boring, they should want to grab a book, and enter a world of imagination!”

In the man’s other, empty hand, he held onto what appeared to be a normal-looking brown-colored wooden traveling case…but looks and appearances both can be deceiving. What he held wasn’t simply any ordinary case, but instead what he held inside it was something otherworldly and imaginative that could’ve only been conceived by his wondrous, extraordinary mind! On the front there were gold plate hinges on the four corners—on both sides of the case—with a matching brown handle, and golden plates on the sides, too.

On the front of the case, on the top middle, was his own name: written nearly in golden script which simply read M.A. FOX—which was the man’s initials abbreviated for Miles Ash Fox!

Inside the case were dozens of manuscripts of stories he’d had written, ones he was currently working on, and several other books he had written; as well as other books by other authors that he had intended on reading to the kids.

He looked around the room, looking for the direction to the DayCare Center, when he happened to notice a staff bot that rows roaming around the halls. Shrugging his shoulders, he decided to ask it for directions—but not before he consulted with the map in the pamphlet (with one of the other staff bots had given him) before asking further questions about directions.

This place was by far the most biggest place that he had ever been to in his life.

Looking at the map, Miles noticed that while he was on the right floor (and going in the general right direction), he was confused on if he should’ve taken a right or a left down the hall?

He didn’t know. So, as he walked up to the staff bot, he gently tapped on the robot’s shoulder. The robot turned around, asking him, “How can I help you today, Miles Fox?”

“I was wondering if you could point me in the direction to the Daycare Center,” Miles Fox asked, with a curious look. “I’m here for the storytelling event that the Daycare is holding.”

“Well,” the Staff boy replied in a pre-recorded message. “You’d find the Daycare if you take a right down this hallway, taking a right; along the catwalk of the PizzaPlex, where you should find a hallway: which takes you into the area where the Daycare Center is located at.”

Miles smiled showing his full white teeth, then, he tipped the brim of his black top hat to the robot, and he headed off down the path that the staff bot had directed him to. Though, Miles couldn’t shake the feeling that something odd was going on around this place, but he couldn’t quite place where he got the suspicion.

It’s best you just leave it up to the robots, the half of his mind told him, but on the other hand, the other half; wasn’t on board with that. You should investigate what’s going on around this place.

Shaking his head in hopes of ridding that idea, he decided to just press on and get to the DayCare—so that he could have enough time to set up his little storytelling in a corner of the place that wasn’t taken over by all of the crazy jungle gym construction play sets that the daycare attendant, Sunny, had apparently allowed the kids to play on.

When he entered the Daycare, he was immediately hit with all the whimsically bright colors that the place was filled with! Every corner, inch, and every crevice was filled to the brim with colorful lights. It was like if you’d taken a normal playground in some old shady place, and threw an explosive colorful bomb onto it, and this is what you get in the aftermath.

All of the things that the children could play on was here. It was like an extraordinary, large-sized playroom for all the children. Jungle gyms, ball pits, playground, play mats, party rooms, and as well as a security desk; for the security guard that was on duty at the time.

True, the place was filled with fun and color. Because, it is never fun to live every single day, without at least a little bit of fun once in a while. Being here was like the children’s own private, little wonderland that they could come to. Curio and curio, so the Mad Hatter would say to Alice at the mad little tea party.

As he looked around the whole enormous place, he happened to spot a few things. Some of those were the tables, desks, and couches in the play area. Which also held a strange-looking ball pit that must’ve came straight out from either a Tim Burton, Roald Dahl, or a Dr. Seuss world, or maybe even both—or, perhaps, even combined. There was even a Gift Shop and Theater, which was called the Lucky Stars Gift Shop and Fazbear Theater. Apparently, Miles thought to himself, that everything that the head company of Fazbear Entertainment came up with, must’ve thought that if they slapped the name “Fazbear” onto anything, then it would drive sales right through the roof; no matter what it was. It would sell dozens of money and profit on it.

While he was waiting in the Superstar Daycare, it was an aded waiting room and lobby, for where the parents would drop off their kids for the day, when the adults would then go about doing their important business for the day, and only then to come back, later in the evening, to pick up their children when they are less energetic and more willing to fall asleep.

The hallway lead to the reception desk, where a kind, beautiful girl about twenty three, was working as the reception woman.

Her hair was golden blonde, and it fell down her back, and rested on her shoulders at shoulder length, with hazel brown eyes, curved lips, and a charming, warming, positive energy that seemed to radiate from her at a distance. Her name was Elizabeth Walker. She was the head receptionist, for the Daycare Center of the Mega PizzaPlex!

As Miles calmly walked up to the desk, he’d happened to notice, that she was wearing a rather colorful, black leather bracelet on her right hand. Looking closer at it, from a distance, there were shades of a reddish-orange on top, followed by a paler orange, with white in the middle, and a dark pinky purple after, with the bottom color being a darker magenta. And on her left hand, there was another one. This one was pink, purple, and royal blue. As she stopped typing on her computer, she looked up, and smiled.

Waving her hand up at the man, motioning for him to come forward. Miles walked over to the receptionist, with a kind smile on his face.

“Welcome to Freddy Fazbear’s Mega PizzaPlex,” The lady kindly said with a smile. “My name’s Ajax Rabbit, pleasure to meet you.”

Looking closer at the woman, Miles couldn’t believe the small, little details he’d happened to have overlooked. Her hair—though it was blonde—part of it, mostly on the right side, was still a dark, luscious brown. And her eyes, her eyes weren’t hazel, but lavender purple!

“Hello,” Miles Fox said kindly. “I’m Miles Fox. I’m here for the Daycare Storytelling event. The one where children are being read stories by storytellers and authors?”

Immediately, when Miles had mentioned the event that was being held, Ajax’s eyes widened and glistened brightly. Her smile grew brightly. “I see, it’s nice to meet you, Miles,” Ajax said excitedly. She stopped mid-sentence, looked around, and blushed a little nervously. “Sorry, I got a bit excited, knowing that of all people; you’d be the one to show up.” Miles gazed at her, and his smile faltered, and then vanished.

“Why? Hasn’t anybody else showed up, other than me yet?”

Ajax shook her head slowly with a sigh. “No…surprisingly you’re the only one here that has ever showed up: and if you don’t mind me saying, a lot of children now, apparently don’t care about reading as much as people like you do.”

Miles gazed at her for a moment, seemingly lost in his own train of thoughts, before snapping back to reality when he heard her saying, “A lot of the adults—parents, mostly, you know. They’re saying how books aren’t captivating their kid’s interest that long enough to really get entertained by it.” Ajax continued, expressing her own sentiment, “I believe that all children should be able to read—not something that bores them, but something that is imaginative, fun, engaging,

“filled with imagination, and entertainment. Which can also hold the readers stay captivated, all the way until the end when they come to the ending.”

As he listened to her statement about how reading for all ages, especially for children at a younger age, should be important to captivate the children’s young minds and their imagination.

“I understand where you’re coming from,” Miles said, nodding his head, slowly. “As Dr. Seuss once said, ‘You can find magic wherever you look. Sit back and relax, all you need is a book.’”

Ajax smiled, listening as he had quoted Dr. Seuss. But what really topped the cake, and sealed her approval of Miles, was what he then said next. “You should always believe in the impossible, because it can become possible—so long as you believe in it. Which is the magic of imagination!”

He took a deep breath, and then said with honesty, “It’s where I learned my craft in storytelling: from reading Dr. Seuss, Roald Dahl, Tim Burton, and Neil Gaiman!”

“You really are fantastical and extraordinary,” Ajax said, smiling at him. “Just like a fox!” Then, she noticed something around the man’s neck. Wrapped, neatly, around his neck, was an elegant, red-and-white stripped lengthy scarf. And as she looked at it, she couldn’t help but feel Dr. Seussian vibes just by looking at it.

Regaining her composure, she neatly stacked the papers that she was working on, and said, “Well, it’s nice to have you here, Miles,” Ajax said warmly. “And I’m glad, that you share the same sentiment about reading, just as much as I do. And you might be just the right man that we’ve been looking for this storytelling event!”

As Miles heard those words from her, he smiled, kindly, then, doing a kind gesture; he reached up to the brim of his hat, and tipped his hat off to her. In a kind, elegant, eccentric manner.

Cupping her mouth, Ajax giggled at the polite, gentleman and showman-like manner, and blushed once more.

Then, she got up, walked around from the desk, and led him into the Daycare Center—where the event was being held. This, was the time, where Miles would read to the children and make them become interested in reading again.

With the help of imagination, creativity, and fun…there was really no limit to what he could do: because he had the imagination to captivate and intrigue children. And, in hopes, to make the children fall in love with reading again!

𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲

𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝘅 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘀

As Miles finished exploring the Daycare Center, he quickly went to work, scoping out the place to find a perfect place to set up his little reading room. A place where he could focus on writing his books, and where he could also tell stories to the children, when they came into the Daycare this morning—or, perhaps, afternoon, when the clock chimed 2:39 PM., and the swarm of kids would pour into the Mega PizzaPlex, after their parents had dropped them off for the day.

After many long exhausting time was put into it, he finally had a neat, little place where he could set up his writing hut. In it there was his comfortable burgundy-colored velvet, wing-back chair that he’d sat in many, many times before. Resting on the arm rests of the chair, there sat Miles’s writing board. Which was constructed out of a cardboard tube which he used for the base, and there was also billiards green-colored cloth on top.

It was placed on there to help prevent his manuscript pages from falling down, because the wanting board was placed at an angle, to which Miles wouldn’t have to lean over to work on…so that it wouldn’t give him any back pain.

Because I’m sure you’d know just how awful it is to feel having incredible pain, at the lower area of your back, when you bend over for a very long time..only to then feel a sharp, stabbing back in your lower back region; only because you’ve been bending down for too long.

The chair itself was rather whimsical and extraordinary in its own way. It was an old Parker Knoll model, which he’d discovered in an old pile of junk that Fazbear Entertainment was selling, along with other sorts of junk that they no longer wanted. So Miles had quickly took the chair and made it his own, and for the first time, when he sat down in it to read…it felt like glorious sensation of heaven to him!

Inside the little reading nook that he’d had built, there were also some shelves that were filled with books, along with other memorabilia that Miles had collected throughout the years. Making it feel like a home away from home for the eccentric fox. As Miles sat down, adjusting himself, so that he could get more comfortable; he reached down to the bottom of the floor, grabbed his traveling case, picked it up, and put it on the table beside him on his right side. Then, he opened it up, with an oh-so satisfying click!, lifted up the lid, and pawed around inside the contents. Grabbing the necessary things that he needed.

He grabbed his books that he brought to read to the kids, which were as follows: Jeremy and the Chocolate Factory; The BFG; Fantastic Mr. Fox; Matilda; The Cat in the Hat; and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. He also pulled out many other great titles, such as Journey Down the Rabbit Hole, Beware, the Grinch of Christmas, Goosebumps, The Eyes of the Dragon, The Sandman, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland…and especially, Neil Gaiman’s Coraline!

He looked up at the clock in the distance, on the far corner in the wall, squinting his eyes he could make out the time. It was already three o’clock in the afternoon, and by golly! He could hear the manic thudding and stomping sounds of feet from crowds of children as the flooded the Mega PizzaPlex! He looked around at his little area, making sure that he’d had had the things he would need when the children would finally come pouring into this room, and be swept into a world of imagination and storytelling by this whimsical, and eccentric-minded fox!

The reddish-orange two-tailed fox smiled, knowing that as he listened to the sounds of distant race machines playing, and the music of the Freddy Fazbear’s band; a few levels up, children were cheering them team on.

If only Miles knew the true horror of what was about to happen, latter that night, when the true horrors would begin at night.

But for now, reading and story time was at hand, and when the time was to be stricken; Miles Fox would appear in a rather grand entrance—giving the kids a rather gran entrance. And thus, the reading and imagination would begin.

While Miles had been setting up the reading corner for storytelling, he happened to have help with Ajax and Sunny; who was rather ecstatic of having an author to lead the storytelling event for the Daycare.

Though, there was only one rule that Sunny the Daycare Attendant had wanted Miles about. “Always keep the lights on.” He didn’t quite know what he’d had meant by that, but before he could ask further questions, Sunny had disappeared (rather quickly as if by a blink of an eye) in to the recess of his room. Which was located on the wall of the room, which appeared to be a vibrant yellow circus tent, with a large rainbow backdrop on the wall behind it.

There was just only one question that was on the fox’s mind, when he came to the Mega PizzaPlex, and it was this: Everywhere he looked, he couldn’t see a single sign, that Glamrock Bonnie was there. There had to be a reason, a logical explanation, as to why he seemingly vanished from the Mega PizzaPlex without a trace.

𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿

𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗙𝗼𝘅 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆

As soon as Miles was ready to begin story time, the clock on the wall, in the far corner of the room, struck 4:00 PM. Suddenly, in that moment, the great big brown wooden gate-like doors to the Daycare swung open and several many children came hurrying into the Daycare Center! There were thousands of children—far too many for Miles to keep track of—as they came flooding into the room, and came to a stop, when they rounded the corner, and came face to face with a reddish-orange fox, a rather extraordinary sight.

It was both whimsical and eccentric sight, that made them all stop, and stare.

𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗜𝗹𝗹𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁, 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻! (𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻)

The fox was dressed in a plum-colored velvet tailcoat, a golden waistcoat, a chocolate-colored big bow tie: with multicolored spots, a tall black top hat, and pearly gray gloves!

In one hand he held a white-and-black swirled topped walking cane, faded bottle green pants, and brown-colored boots, which now looked black and faded with age. The fox’s face was alight with so much childlike energy, imagination, and fun and laughter. And his eyes, hiss eyes always seemingly continued to twinkle and sparkle with endless amounts of imagination!

One of the children in the group, a little boy with light, apricot skin, messy brown hair, and deep brown matching eyes. On his face there were several bandages, a few bandaids on his right and left cheek, and one larger one on his knee.

He wore a blue T-shirt with two white horizontal white stripes; which ran across his chest, a pale blue collar, with a white undershirt, and tan cargo short pants—Which seemingly went down to his knees, but stopped till they met an inch below.

On his feet were a pair of white socks, with rather vibrant (and quite colorful with the Glamrock theme), white shoes: with red and cyan-colored sneakers, and dark gray soles.

Looking at a glance at this little boy, Miles seemed to know instantly who he was, just by looking at him. On the surface he looked like a troubled kid, who appeared to be easily irritated.

Whom also was an outspoken kid, and would always get slightly annoyed or angry if he didn’t get something that was less than helpful or useful to him. But deep down…the closer he looked at him…he felt that he was simply a brave kid, and, was also rather smart with technological stuff.

“Welcome, little ones, children, and younger readers,” Miles Fox said kindly with a smile. “My name is Miles Ash Fox. I’ll be the storyteller for you children today,” Miles Fox continued energetically, “here at Freddy Fazbear’s Mega PizzaPlex. Today, I have brought with me, some good books that will spark that imagination in your heads, and I shall fill those empty heads of yours; full to the brim, with endless amounts of fun, whimsy, and imagination!

“Because the way I see it: reading shouldn’t be some frivolous, boring, daunting, and dull thing that should be seen as a task or even a chore that you’re parents give for you to do—but rather, instead, a fun, whimsical sense of imagination and endless entertainment for your minds!”

While Miles was reading his speech to the children, Ajax, the parents, and Freddy Fazbear—along with his friends, too, also stepped in through the door and listened.

And what a rather extraordinary sight it was!

At that very moment, as soon as Miles began to read his speech: the children were rather annoyed and bored with having to listen to him talk…but after a few minutes, a few of the kids perked their ears up, leaned forward, and many others began to grow interested in the speech.

About how reading can be a source of fun, entertainment, and the fun that one could have with the endless possibilities for the imagination can do and thrive in one’s mind!

“And that’s why anyone can find magic anywhere they look, and all that you need; isn’t some loud voice box that your parents sit you in front of, but when you open up a book, you can explore the endless possibilities of imagination and entertainment you can have…just from reading a book. “So, what’s stopping you? Go on and open and book and read. And once you do, you’ll be whirling and thriving in fun and imaginative, creative worlds for you to explore!”

Gregory looked up at the rather strange fox, with a look of doubt in his face, and said, “If that’s really true, then where does this ‘imagination’ come from when we’re reading?”

Miles looked down at Gregory, then at everyone else; who apparently seemed curious as to know where the magic of imagination came from, when you’re reading a book. Because in the children’s minds they thought that when reading, all it really was, is just a bunch of words that are typed on a page of paper…but that isn’t only just what reading is about.

“Why, reading is a creative type of art, that allows artists to express themselves, freely,” Miles answered, “to show audience and readers the things that they see. Books,” Miles explained, “is a form of creative art, from which the writer writes stories and things that they wanted to see….”

Gregory still remained unfazed and he seemed little less taken aback by it, but a little bit of change of mood was in his eyes. Which seemed to do Miles a world of good. Knowing that he was finally beginning to understand it.

“But in order to get to your imagination,” Miles said, walking around his writing chair, before sitting down calmly, and looking at the kids, “you need to take a deep breath…and count two three.” In unison all of the children lowered their heads, closed their eyes, held their breath, and counted to three as Miles had instructed.

“Come with me and you’ll be, in a world of Pure Imagination,” Miles Fox sang. His eyes glistening with glee. Suddenly, as if by some sort of magic of imagination, when the children opened their eyes, they looked around the room in total amazement and wonder.

It was as if the whole room had changed into some sort of whimsical wonderland…like a world made completely, and entirely out of candy!

“Take a look, and you’ll see, into your imagination!” Miles Fox sang, leaping out of his chair, standing on his feet, and spun around, holding his arms wide out at arms length.

“We’ll begin with a spin, traveling in the World of my Creation! What we’ll see will DEFY…EXPLANATION…!” Miles then did a calm spin, and then walked around the room (as if seeing it for the first time again), and proceeded to look around at all of the things in the whole room with amazement and wonder; as if each of the things he saw, seemingly changed into something anew with the use of his imagination!

The children quickly and eagerly got up, and proceeded to follow him around the whole room. “If you want to view paradise, simply look around and view it,” Miles Fox sang, leading the group around: which wasn’t the Daycare any longer, but some whimsical world, or some marvelous room full of candy and chocolate; that was inside a chocolate factory that Miles imagined in his mind!

“Anything you want to—do it! Want to change the world…? There’s NOTHING TO IT…!”

While all of this was happening, it seemed to be a miracle, that all it ever took to make children become interested in reading, and to love it because of the imagination, but that the song that Miles Ash Fox was singing seemed to spark that imagination that the children needed.

Glamrock Freddy Fazbear; Chica the Chicken; Montgomery Gator; Roxanne Wolf; and…shockingly enough, Glamrock Bonnie piled his head through the door and watched the whole entire thing that was happening!

“There is no life I know,” Glamrock Freddy began to sing, whispering to himself in pure enjoyment, “to compare with pure imagination. Living there; you’ll be free, if you truly wish to be!”

Miles turned his head to look at Freddy Fazbear, then smiled brightly. Then he continued to sing.

“If you want to view paradise,” Miles Fox said, and proceeded to hold up his walking cane, pointing it around the whole room, “simply look around and view it! Anything you want to, do it

Then, suddenly, everyone began to in singing in the chorus of the song in unison!

“Want to change the world? There's nothing to it! There is no life I know, to compare with pure imagination! Living there, you'll be free…

If you truly wish to be….!” It was simply a breathtaking sight to behold, when the song finished, Gregory looked up at Miles Ash Fox with a smile on his face. His eyes twinkling with delight. Finally, Gregory knew the importance of imagination and reading.

If only Miles Fox knew the horror that he would soon be put into, and shortly come face to face with when a nightmare comes to life at the Mega PizzaPlex!
