Hey guys, Lukeario here with a quick PSA about posts and features.
Quick note: I don’t think I have put this in the right way, none of you are lazy and I’m not saying it is lazy because it doesn’t have a description and I understand that it can be difficult to write one. I’m very sorry if I have offended anyone it wasn’t my intention.
The reason we haven’t been featuring as many posts recently is that the descriptions are just too small. The descriptions that I am talking about are the bits of information at the beginning of the post telling all about the piece of artwork presented. Many of the posts that have great art have really lazy descriptions or blogs to accompany it, which shows a lack of care about presentation or just laziness. We advocate longer descriptions for a few reasons. For one thing, it is nice to see how you made it, how long it took, the inspiration etc as it very interesting. It also shows that you have a care presentation and that you want it to look the best possible as well showing that you genuinely care about what you posting rather than just dumping your artwork on a blog. Blogs are supposed to be brimming with at least a few words, no matter if it’s about artwork or otherwise and to disregard shows lack of care.

Here are some examples of what you could put in your description to extend a bit more:
- Amount of time spent on the piece
- Your inspiration for you piece
- How you made, what materials used
- Explanation of what the picture is, what is represents, why you chose this type of picture/ style, why it’s important to you
- What program you used (if you did)
- “Please don’t steal my artwork, or use it without permission”
- Symbols to make it presentable
- Reason for creation (if there is one)
In the case of sculptures and craft
- How the thing works
- What does the craft do (if anything eg moving jaw)
- These do apply to stories, theories or anything other related topics such as poem. (Note: an intro with inspirations and themes etc for these types of posts are favoured)
What will not be counted as enlarging a description:
- Pictures
- Gifs
- WIPs (they are required anyway)
Here is an example of a description that is favoured by the mod team by deciding what to feature:

(Hope it’s ok to use you as an example :), full credit to them for their work)
Please do not take any offence to this post, we are merely trying to cultivate more creativity and presentability in blogs to show a higher standard in the blogs of the front page, we are not saying that you do not care about the work you post, as from what I can tell, you guys do genuinely care which is why it is important to address these little bits to improve the front page even more.
Now a word from Bean:
“The Mod Team is trying to give s quality blogs and content for everyone to enjoy, Sometimes we will comment on a post with a short description and good content asking for you to possibly add the description for us to feature. Giving a good presentation of your work can land you higher opportunities for getting your works noticed and featured. We can actually prevent from featuring the same s if good descriptions are added onto blogs, since usually the same s are the only ones who make descriptions then we will feature them more. Our s are trying their best to find the kind of content you'd like, please provide us with quality content so we can then feature quality content. It all starts with you guys! :)”

I hope you guys can help contribute to the growing quality and success of the front page and if you guys have any more suggestions such as this, that you want us to discuss, by all means me or another leader.
Peace out~

I am still wondering why my Joke post about my Dog doing the bite was featured.
I agree but I'm not lazy at all when I try to make it long it looks terrible when I see others with their paragraphs under the picture for reason idk know to do that now I'm not complaing I'm simply saying I'm not be able to put my paragraphs under the picture and really I don't really care if I'm not featured I'm quite happy were I am ^^ .but please don't call those "lazy paragraphs" also what if people have a simpler way of describing their? Art and you wanna call it lazy . what if they don't want to make super detailed to bored the viewer ? You can't just say "Oh WeLl ItS lAzY lol XD" please have some self respect .
It makes me happy to see that the leaders of an amino are following the rules they set. Like the description. On other amino I've been on they feature things that even go against the requirements, like having your first picture on the post to show up on the front page it needs to be the first one in the gallery of the blog. Seriously, people need to follow their own rules so I'm proud of this post right here!
I like this post. I understand and agree with some of things you were saying.
