Your eyes fly open, meeting an intense glare of light. Cold sweat coats your entire body. You can feel the thin fabric of your shirt clinging on to your clammy skin. Your heart is still hammering, blood thundering in your ears.

Was that just a bad dream? Had you somehow fallen asleep outside? No—you ed your head hitting your downy pillow, but now all that remained was a stiffness in your neck.

"Hello?" a shaky voice sounds. Relief washes over you—never have you felt gladder to hear another human's voice. Or at least, you believed it to be human. You peer gingerly in the direction of the noise, and your terrified gazes meet; in their eyes, a storm of emotions threaten to overwhelm you.

A storm...

Everything clicks in your mind. That dream from earlier… The mentioned "new place" and "allies"… And the "trials" …

A sudden stab of pain from your pocket jolts you out of your ruminations, and you scramble to retrieve the offending object. It's warm, and it's pulsating slowly. Newfound courage courses through your veins.

You unfurl your hand.

Information

Welcome to FEH Amino's new event, Squad Sieges! This is a team-based event where squad have to go through a series of challenges together to earn points for the team and win prizes.

How to Play:

1. your interest in the Squad Sieges Form.

Note: The form is for interested in participating, as well as interested in being a judge. Please read the rest of the post to find out about judging.

2. Wait for the results of your groupings.

3. Complete the given challenges with your teammates.

It really is as simple as that! But the process will not be that easy. Keep reading on to find out more.

About Squads

Squads, as the name suggests, are the groups that you will be in throughout the event.

- All the participants will be randomly assigned into a squad.

- The total number of squads and the squad sizes will be dependent on how many participants sign up. We're looking at anywhere between 4 to 6 in a team.

- All squads will have the same number of . (Hopefully we aren't that unlucky to get a prime number amount of registrations :P)

- We will try to ensure that all squads have a good mix of skilled in different aspects. Squads that have a severe imbalance in composition (eg. all the are artists) will be reshuffled.

- All group chats will need to have a inside to oversee the team (to settle any conflicts which may arise, or to take note of who isn't doing their part… :eyes: ). Squad s will not interfere unless asked to.

- At the end of the event, the Squad Mod will award the squad points for teamwork (out of 10). It will be judged based on the team's communication and cooperation.

About Sieges

Sieges are the challenges that you and your team will have to go through.

- Depending on the ' responses, there will be between 4 to 6 sieges.

- Sieges cover a range of topics (the things you can find in the Amino's sidebar categories).

- All sieges will last a week (or more), after which a new siege will be given.

- The siege must be completed in only one post to facilitate judging.

- Squads who complete the siege within the deadline will be eligible for judging, and points (out of a maximum of 50 unless stated otherwise) will be awarded for their posts.

- Missing the deadline for a siege results in a score of 0 for that siege.

- Every squad will be given a lifeline. The lifeline will allow the squad to ONE siege with half the maximum number of points (25). Lifelines cannot be used on a siege once the siege is over, so choose carefully.

About Judging

Judging will be done for all the teams participating in the sieges.

- There will be 5 judges. Each judge will give all the participating squads a score out of 10. The maximum possible score for a single siege is 50 unless stated otherwise.

- Judges are required to be impartial when awarding points.

- To your interest in being a judge, please fill in the Squad Sieges Form. The section for judge s is at the bottom.

- 5 judges will be selected. We will pick judges based on their suitability for the role. We will also look for judges with different skills to ensure more fairness in the judging.

- We will be looking at your aptitude (naturally, how can you judge for something without having some level of skill yourself?), impartiality and rationality. All three factors will be judged through your activity and behaviour in the Amino.

Rewards:

When all the sieges are over, each squad's scores for the sieges they attempted, as well as points for teamwork, will be tallied.

All who have taken part in the sieges will stand to win these:

- All participants will get 2 Red Bux :tm: *.

- Certain will get a mystery reward.

- Some sieges will allow you to impact Amino features, so there's some honour in that. :P

*The amount will be halved for who have ed or left midway.

And for the best-performing squads, additional prizes will be given.

3rd Place:

- 1 additional Red Bux :tm: each.

- 50 Amino coins each.

2nd Place:

- 2 additional Red Bux :tm: each.

- 100 Amino coins each.

1st Place:

- The same custom title for each member. This title will be decided upon as a team.

- 200 Amino coins each.

FAQs

Q: When I open the form, Amino tells me this is an untrusted website and I can't type anything, help?

A: That happens! Just tap three dots at the bottom right of the screen and open the form in a new browser. :)

Q: I missed the deadline for g up, can I still participate?

A: Perhaps! We will put you on a waiting list to take over the role of any who are no longer participating in the event, but there is no guarantee that you WILL get a slot.

Q: What if someone needs to drop out of the event?

A: who wish to drop out (with a valid reason) will need to let their Squad Mod know. The rewards for the dropout will be halved.

Q: What if there is a member who isn't contributing?

A: Let the Squad Mod know, and they will talk to that member. After 2 weeks of non-participation, the member will be removed, and they will not reap any rewards. They will also be banned from participating in community events for a month.

Q: What if someone has left the squad and our squad is now at a disadvantage?

A: No worries! the waiting list we mentioned earlier? We'll get someone from there to your team. If there's no one on the waiting list, the Squad Mod will fill in the role.
