Gary grew up in a similar situation as he does originally, Mom and Dad turns into just Mom turns into just him. But life was very unkind to him growing up. People cheat and lie to get ahead, even if it means stepping all over the weak. So he learned to be strong so no one would step all over him. He became a bad guy,, but he doesn’t really enjoy it. It’s just for survival.

He eventually grows so powerful that he’s a known and feared villain across the galaxy. One day he looses his arm (as most Gary’s do) and instead of replacing it with a robot arm, he hired a mad scientist to biologically improve his whole being. Which led to his “buggy” parts. Made of caterpillar genes and surviving with little to no flaws. This made the scientist famous for this crazy discovery. So now Gary’s part caterpillar because I say so.

The Gary spend most of his days on top, but it’s lonely being feared. And he only has robots to play cards with, because every person runs away in fear, or only comply because they fear death or worse. And Gary doesn’t want anyone to feel that way about him, he’s still human. Well, the most of him is human. Until one day, a bounty hunter ship crashed into the craze of his fleet. He got it out soon as possible, because bounty hunters mean trouble. But he found a child ventrexian sneaking around in his personal quarters. This was a huge red flag, what was a bounty hunter doing with a child?!

Anyway, Gary did his best to introduce himself without scaring the small cat boy. Which sort of worked, minus all the scratches and bruises. Eventually he calmed the kid down enough to find out how he got here. Apparently it was the bounty hunter’s ship he was originally on, and fell through a blast in the wall, luckily landing inside of Gary’s ship. (Wish I could think of more words that ‘ship’)

This was also a red flag for Gary, because this little boy fell through the cold, airless space! Thankfully not that long, but still! So he immediately canceled whatever he was planning to do today to make sure this child was back to peak condition. Turns out his name is Little Cato! .. Little Cato? Is that some ventrexian equivalent to junior?? Probably.

Time skip ahead and you can bet your crap that Gary insists on helping Little Cato find his dad! No one should be without their father,, no one. So Little Cato sets his suspicions aside to do the claps of epic promise to find his dad! Yayy!!
