My DFFOO Wishlist!

Good day, I say! So I recently shared a little challenge in the DFFOO group but everyone is more than welcome in this event. We are basically making a wish list of characters that we would like to see in DFFOO. Here is my personal list and you will find the rules of this challenge below. Let's get into it!

5. Genesis

Genesis is the main antagonist of FFVII Crisis Core and since the main protagonist (Zack Fair) is already playable, it makes sense to add Genesis too. He is playable in Final Fantasy Record Keeper as well so it would be amazing to see him in DFFOO too. In Dissidia, they are currently focused on the transformation powers of each villain so this opens up the possibility for Genesis Avatar to make an appearance once again. I also would like to see him interact with Sephiroth again since both of them got a lot stronger since they last saw each other. There are a lot of reasons why I want him in the game and there is a lot they can do with him. Tons of abilities to choose from, great possible dialogues and he could be Seifer's FR partner since both of them were antagonists that are kind of jealous of a certain hero in their respective worlds.

4. Rufus

Yes another FFVII character and it's none other than Rufus! Especially in the Remake, they did an amazing job with him. I really love his fighting style a lot and the fact that he teams up with Darkstar gives him a lot of combo potential. They could turn him into a follow-up character. The Turks are already in the game and right now, they aren't that important in the story but if they got certain orders from Rufus, the story could take an interesting turn considering that Reno and Rude are starting to like the warriors of Materia a lot more. As for the potential FR partner, I could see him team up with characters like Kain and Leon since both of them are trying to seek redemption for what they have done in the past. There are a lot of other characters he could team up with because many Final Fantasy characters wish to atone for their sins.

3. Lasswell

One of the main protagonists of Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. He is my favourite character from that game so I would really like to see him in DFFOO. There are tons of abilities to choose from and him having a connection with Shiva may open up special interactions with other characters like Snow and Lunafreya. His FR partner could be Squall because they are both cool protagonists that also happen to orphans. Another thing that would be interesting to see is seeing how much he actually knows about the other characters in DFFOO. He does use their visions on battle so how would the others respond when they meet him?

2. Ravus

Ah! The one who just keeps on suffering. I really feel bad for Ravus and he deserves to meet Noctis again. He is also one of my favourite characters in FFXV and I think they could make him relevant in the story. As much as I like him a lot, I do think that if he gets in, he will probably be used by one of the other antagonists for a while. After that, he can team up with the heroes. He can still be Leo's FR partner since they were both generals that worked under a mad man and they both chose a different path in the end before meeting a cruel end. They can take moves from Episode Ignis or the abilities that he used in his Daemon form. There are many reasons to include him in DFFOO! If characters like Braska and Dorgann can get in while having shown absolutely nothing, then Ravus should be good.

1. Madam Edel

This may be a surprising pick but I went for Madam Edel as my number one spot for multiple reasons. The obvious one being that she is one of my favourite characters in FFBE. The other one has to do with the fact that while I think she is an amazing character, FFBE ing DFFOO doesn't guarantee her inclusion in the story. In FFBE, she wasn't nearly as important in the main story as characters like Rain, Lasswell, Fina etc. If they include the FFBE characters, it's basically already confirmed that all of those three will make it in the game. The same doesn't go for Madam Edel unfortunately enough. This is why I would really like to see her in the game more. She could be Noctis' partner since both of them treat their subordinates like family and Setzer could be an interesting partner since both Edel and Setzer lost their lover who left a certain surprise behind for them in case they should die. I think that would be a beautiful pairing.
