No matter how long they spend there, in their original world, their absence is but a. blink of an eye.
Perhaps, the teenager and the young lady have already crossed paths countless times in this unfamiliar mountain town.
The jagged peaks are far from the picturesque beauty of Wutai's landscapes, nor do they resemble Midgar's steel and concrete.
Such scenery would be forgotten the moment they step back through the portal to their respective worlds.
The fleeting glimpses of the young "Hero", and the Wutaian girl from the opposing faction lingering in this place, their exchanged glances, and the hands extended toward each other at their own private ball—all would be lost on the other side of the portal.
Yet, after the portal vanishes, the mountain town, the towering peaks, and those left behind will their presence.
