Over the skies of Spira the GullWings ship known as the Celcius was on its way back to Besaid. They had been invited to share Easter with Lulu and Wakka.
While Yuna and the others were excited to see thier friends again Paine was not amused. The day before Rikku had insisted on decorating. Paine had argued against it and things had escalated. She was now sitting on the deck.
Yuna decided to check on Paine. "Paine are you alright? Rikku said you didn't want to come with us to Besaid again. Did you have a bad memory of the holiday or do you not enjoy parties."
"Yuna...holidays are just not my thing. There is nothing worth celebrating. You and Rikku have good friends. Go have fun.." Paine replied nonchallently.
"I see. But it would be nice if we could enjoy the holiday together. Easter is a time for peace and to enjoy time with ones family." Yuna went over to her. "We all deserve to share memories and stories..."
Paine glanced at Yuna. "I don't have a family and my friends are dead or scattered around Spira....I don't want to talk about it.." Yuna frowned but decided to leave her teammate alone. It seemed nothing would cheer Paine up.
Paine watched Yuna go and stared up at the sky. Rikku approached Yuna. "Yunie did you get Paine to change her mind?"
"Sadly no. She told me she had no friends and family to celebrate with.." Yuna replied. "Paine is a mystery to us all.."
Rikku's face fell. "That is horrible Yuna. We could always tell Lulu and Wakka we can't make it. I would feel bad leaving Paine behind.."
"They were looking forward to seeing us..." Yuna suddenly smiled. "Cmon Rikku I have a idea."
"Oh what kind of idea.." Rikku said and Yuna whispered something. Rikku smiled. "Sounds like a amazing idea." Yuna then went to find Brother and request a course change to a place Yuna knew of. She wanted to give Paine a Easter she would appreciate.

Sometime later Brother landed the airship where Yuna had instructed. The location was infront of Rin's Travel agency on the Mi'han highroad. Yuna knew there was that ledge across from the place. After talking to Rin on the commsphere network he agreed to help out. Barkeep had helped to cook some food for the dinner Yuna planned. Everything was layed out perfectly.
All that was left was to coax Paine to leave the ship. After much convincing from Rikku she left and was lead along. The route was littered with fiends but the two fought them off soon meeting with Yuna.
"Rikku there has to be a good reason you would drag me out here.." Paine deadpanned arms crossed. "It is almost the dead of night.."
"You'll see.." Rikku dragged Paine over to the agency but covered her eyes as to not ruin the surprise. Paine was annoyed. "Rikku if this is a game.."
Rikku lead Paine over to the grassy ledge. Paine could smell some food. "Wait did you guys cook something?.."
"Tadah~" Rikku uncovered Paine's eyes. What she saw was a dinner laid out and Yuna smiling at her. "Happy Easter..."
Paine was confused. "Yuna I thought you and Rikku were going to Besaid.."
"We changed our minds. If we went we would feel bad about leaving you behind. In this way we can all be together.. "
Rikku nodded. "Yup.."
Paine did not know what to say but soon a hint of a smile crossed her face. "Thanks..."
"C'mon let's eat already!' Rikku was impatient.
"Still a child.." Paine teased causing Rikku to protest.."
"Hey no fighting.." Yuna chided. "Let's just enjoy our meal with the blessings of the Fayths.."
"There are no Fayths Yuna but ..." Rikku cut Paine off with a look. "Let Yuna have her fun in her old beliefs.."
"Fair enough.." Paine nodded. Once Yuna was finished talking Yuna motioned for everyone to come and sit. They were ed by Brother and the rest of the crew. The food was served between them and they talked,laughed, and had a great time...
"Well if it isn't the DullWings.." LeBlanc approached the group. "Having a Easter gathering without me..."
Everyone groaned. "Go away. We are not handing you any spheres.." Paine spat.
"No need to get hostile. I was just going to ask if I could you in your festivities. After all a party like this only happens once a year. My crew are too busy hunting spheres..."
The group looked at each other. "Well it is Easter after all.." Yuna replied. "Perhaps a one day truce..."
"Perfect idea love. Today we call a temporary truce..." LeBlanc smiled and ed the group. At first no one bothered with her but soon they were talking and joking again.
Paine left the group and looked out into the distance. She thought about her lost friends and her new ones. Though they were also her family. Yuna's words had brought her and the Gullwings together including her rival. A smile crossed her face.
"Easter is ...a time for family...."
