chanel was born to camila and aeneas roja in the town of bariloche, argentina. she grew up with two dogs and a mangy cat—obama, socrates and calligula (or ‘gula’ for short), respectively. with what little money they had, camila and aeneas sent chanel to america with her aunt malinche, where she attended kindergarten, elementary, middle and high school. she graduated from the university of miami in the city of miami, florida, with a 4.0 gpa and degrees in marketing, 2d art, and english.

after graduating, chanel found profit as a commissioned online artist, but wasn’t able to find housing that she could afford by just getting commissioned. so, she took up a job as an illustrator for a game company to help pay for her apartment in south miami. she likes her job very much.
