" Mystic! How many times are you going to mention Dragon in this post!?"
"Yes."
The Queendom of Dragons, Demons, and Humanity

" 2,833 years ago, before Zia Malia was born, a tribe of pacifistic carnivores we call Dragons migrated to the lands of Felomalia. Keep this anomaly in mind as it's very important, these Dragons eventually settled and helped our people thrive for countless years. Some spoke our language and blended in with our crowds. Ironic that our precious Dragons have behaved more humanly than many of us throughout history."
* Elvira Ordonez, the Spessartine Sage
Introduction:
Dark Dragon's Cove, sometimes Dragon's spelled with a z, is the nickname of Balaez, a matriarchal society run by Elvira Ordonez. Wonder why this nation is called the Dragon's Cove?
That's because three thousand years ago, an obsidian Dragon sworn to consist of volcanic glass flew to Felomalia and lived by a cove in Lake Minx (northwestern Balaez).

At the time, there were folktales about the Dragon being some God, who often shape-shifted into a human and provided Kings and Queens of the Epsisian kingdoms with wisdom and lore to influence them. The obsidian creature, called Caldera, was said to have begged the rulers of the lands to maintain the status quo of peace and equality. He only wanted to rest by a beautiful stygian lake under the sun and watch as humanity thrived, forgetting the times of wars between Dragons and humans.
Caldera the Dragon served as a protector for several hundred years; he communicated with Zia Balaez and Elvira Ordonez and protected Balaez. In 521 ABR, 2,478 years ago, Caldera was slain by one of Ziggy Lister's minions during Ziggy's reign of terror. He died, symbolizing peace, benevolence, and wisdom.
(Ziggy's Mage: "You tried to be tough, but your scales just not hard enough,
CALDERA!! NOW IT'S TIME TO KICK YOUR HINEY! EVER SEEN SO ONE SO SHINY!!"):
Upon the death of the beloved creature, people of other nations and eventually Zia would name Lake Minx the Dark Dragon's Cove since the lake served as the Dragon's favorite resting place. Nations worldwide called Balaez the Dark Dragon's Cove as the country served as Caldera's "cove."
Felomalians of the Kingdom of Balaez commemorated this heroic flying reptilian for years to come.
Geography:

The lay of the land consists of several highlands in the central north, east, and central part of the kingdom. However, in the northeastern parts of Balaez, which is adjacent to the Badlands country Apolnezum, there is a small savanna region adjacent to the barrier of Balaez.
There are countless shrubland regions throughout the south, with even a few mesas but no real deserts. Now, in the southern portion of the central region, there are volcanoes with countless igneous and sedimentary rocks scattered across the nation. This is why some worldwide view Balaez as a "Dark Land," like Tartarus. The volcanoes in Balaez have a more chaotic history than in other nations. Also, the lore about Demons plays a part in why people refer to this nation as the Dark Land.
In total, there are four large volcanoes with an additional twenty-nine smaller ones, and they are suppressed from an eruption from sorcerers through Magic based seals. If these seals are broken, a volcano can erupt at any moment and decimate hundreds of square miles of land across the central regions of Balaez. Volcano territories are closed off to prevent unauthorized entry; maintain that fact. Ah yes, by the Capital city of Grenvee in the north, there is a small volcano south of the Capital. Suppose you're wondering how these volcanoes are suppressed. In that case, Magic s dissipate lava by digging tunnels and casting enchantments, granting themselves resistance to molten rock, thermal energy, gasses, and whatnot. The molten still form after a long time due to the Earth's core. However, the very few Dragons whose scales are durable enough to survive magma; will grab chunks of the molten and cool down the thermal energy by placing the substances in the water.
By doing this, the lava cools and turns into volcanic rocks. Because the Earth is 80% volcanic, Dragons can't exactly neutralize the dangerous substances for too long before they generate once more.
But don't worry; the several volcanoes in Balaez that erupted have significantly been neutralized thanks to the Dragons and sorcerers.
Over the southwestern portion, there are beautiful valleys with grass-covered plateaux (unlike Apolnezum). Between the sixteen rivers and the twenty-one lakes, several small coastal-sized coastal-sized deserts are across the land. Primarily in the northwest consist of the landmark called Dark Dragonz Cove, the alias of the nation with slightly dim canyons encoming the land.
Many dragons over the sea rest in these lands, making the hundreds of square miles (to form a country-sized territory) populated by the Dragons. They are peaceful but slightly aggressive toward one another, as they naturally act similarly to their other kin worldwide.
Dragon Tamers grow crops and breed animals to populate the biological preserves for the Dragons of the realm to eat. They are very difficult—anyway, I'm getting off track. Forests of Appalachian in the west to southern portions with Oak forests making up the whole northern part with valleys between the mountains, bays, and even the volcanoes (well aware they're analogous to mountains, but I like to look at them like a fissure trapped in a mountain's body). West of the lands lay several mountains circumjacent to several plains and valleys. And in the western parts lay several hills and other coves, almost every lake, including the glorious nation's Lake Minx, has curves to form a bay of some sort.
Balaez's Lore:
3,002 years ago (2 BBR), a settler named Bodi Varga and a group of settlers established the kingdom of Felomalia. Unlike the other nations in the world, the country was peaceful and consisted of intelligent individuals. With the nation being founded by races worldwide, the government grew accepting of people who migrated from lands across the globe to live in the kingdom.

Several months after establishing the settlement, the settlers and wanderers saw from the sky a beautiful Dragon who almost looked like they were obsidian.
When the Dragon noticed the people of different races coexisting without dispute, they ired the settlers and wanderers so much they decided to stay in the lands. Caldera the Dragon believed these humans worthy of protection, and he swore to Bodi and his future successors in the kingdom of Felomalia that he would protect them.

Felomalia, in 166 ABR (2,833 years ago from 2,999 ABR), Caldera, who often traveled the world for wisdom, brought a tribe of peaceful Dragons to these lands. They acted friendly to humans who didn't disturb them; they were carnivorous, and some in the tribe were omnivores, but the family desired tranquility. They firmly believed in Caldera's ideology and secretly served the Felomalian government. This was hidden from the people because people from other nations would try to use the Dragons against them (through tricks and schemes).
Throughout the generations, many more Dragons would grow and serve as vital to the nation. Caldera's family ed away, creating more families while the obsidian Dragon lived. This was due to Caldera's immortality. He hid from the public that he was a sorcerer; only revealing to royals how he lived indefinitely (by utilizing the power of pugnacious Draconic Souls).
In 417 ABR, Zia Malia, the daughter of King Joel and Jane Malia, was born; she befriended Caldera and was often educated on the lore of the past by him. Eventually, when she turned eighteen, she was given the rule over Felomalia.

Throughout the first years of her reign, Zia ran into countless issues because of her stringent rule, often creating strained relationships with people. Her policies restricted outsiders from the country when the nation was founded upon the belief that people could settle in the Draconic nation of settlers and wanderers.
Caldera educated Zia on the history of the glorious Felomalia to help her, and Zia changed herself, learning to make a valuable lesson of compromise. Becoming more comionate, Zia made friends and established a bond with the Dragons that shaped Felomalia. Then earning a little bit of public approval thanks to the protector of Balaez, throughout Zia's adult years, Caldera taught her Magic.
448 ABR, a demon created by Daz Zo Raelanzo who was imprisoned in a realm conjured by Ethereal Beings called Tartarus (based on Mythology), escaped Tartarus. The Demon, named Minatory, led armies of Demon spawns to massacre Felomalians for his desire for dominion over the prodigious Dragon nation.
Combating the Tartareans, Zia began fighting to defend her nation; until she was knocked down by a group of sinners. Then, through a peculiar turn of events, a demonic sorcerer named Ailey Ordonez saved Zia's life. The two, becoming friends, fought as warriors to vanquish the demons.

"Over a thousand years ago, the first demons were created as monsters with human characteristics, they had no free-spirit. They were bound to their creators, like most beasts were bound to Ziggy the God of Destruction. Some degenerates were reincarnated into the belligerent monsters who plunge our societies in chaos. My debased ancestors escaped heroes Jarius Fairman and the other Holy sorcerers. I'm not sure if my soul is new or old, but I naturally carry a fondness for people. Before I knew it, I blended in with your Felomalians for countless years as a librarian! Hopefully, you could place the ancestry of me and the other good-natured demons like me aside. We may have devil blood coursing through our veins; but Dawn allowed us all to live the same."
* Ailey Ordonez, librarian and heroine, is the mother of Elvira Ordonez.
When she said "we," she implied that demons like Delem Bloodclaw and other heroes possessed demon blood but led lives of virtue. At the time, some demons didn't attack Felomalians; they just settled in forests across the continent of Epsis—some migrated to the Badlands and other nations across Epsis.
After a year of fighting, Zia and Ailey took down Minatory; however, Minatory transformed Zia into a demon as his last dying desire to make his foes suffer.
Returning to Felomalia, Zia was praised but confessed that she had been transformed into a demon by Minatory. Many Felomalians couldn't accept their Queen being turned into a monster; however, Caldera and Ailey Ordonez, well-known heroes at the time, vouched for Zia. The world's main religion, Dawnisn, never stated that supernatural creatures were all evil; it was written that they originated from malevolent sorcerers. This is an anomaly because not all demons, corporeal or incorporeal, were evil. A historian theorized that a tribe of demons was created with "free will," and this precipitated the change in Felomalian's and the rest of the Epsisians' viewing of demons. Other nations in the world are not so quick to change.
Eventually, the citizens accepted Zia when they realized she fought for the nation and put herself in danger before the soldiers. In the same year (449 ABR), the Felomalians found tribes of demons living in Felomalia.
Dealing with controversies of the Tartareans who no longer served Minatory, Zia placed barriers for citizens not to cross and attack the demons who populated these areas. She continuously spoke up for the modern demons. Preaching that although their history may consist of many debased and belligerent sinners, people such as Delem Bloodclaw (the Luminary Magus), Ailey Ordonez, and her were demons who protected people and continued to help. Even the almighty Caldera approved of the new demons of the world.
But citizens wouldn't change their minds about the grand majority for a long time. (When they began to change, this was when Delem's organization, the Moonlight Paladins in 486 ABR, saved lives worldwide.)
Zia also proved by ruling her nation for many years without doing anything immoral that the new demons were not vicious.
Several years later, in 472 ABR (23 years after 449), the ten-year-old daughter of Ailey named Elvira Ordonez visits Zia Malia, confessing that her mother Ailey has died of an illness. Zia, heartbroken by Ailey's death and in debt to her for the time Ailey saved her life, decides to raise Elvira.
Over the years, Zia mentors Elvira and raises her and the country. Finally, when meeting Delem toward the end of 481 ABR, Zia helps fund the making of a haven of diverse supernatural creatures, primarily virtuous demons. Elvira and Caldera helped spread the history of respectable demons to benefit the beings of sin. The demons populating Balaez for countless years finally got to interact with humans freely, with people accepting of this.
In 482, Zia formed Balaez, a queendom founded by Zia Malia, the mighty Demon, and Elvira Ordonez, co-founded by Delem Bloodclaw, Kimberly Caldwell, Aladrik Folkert, Gonzalo Cabanilla, and Bodaway Warrior. This kingdom, established alongside two others, Spicesol, and Raurdame, was established 2,517 years ago. Zia, who changed her surname to Balaez, and Elvira co-founded the other countries. And Felomalia became the Demon, Dragon, and human queendom of Balaez, which Elvira became a big part of ruling alongside Zia.
Due to the country being co-founded by the rulers of the two other countries, Balaez shared traditions and laws with Spicesol and Raurdame. Demons and humans coexisted with one another throughout the years. A demon called Xiomar ruled Spicesol, while Delem Bloodclaw and his sweetheart Kimberly Caldwell ruled Raurdame. Zia Balaez led Balaez alone over the years alongside her foster daughter and sidekick Elvira Ordonez, who would inherit Balaez if Zia were to die or fall ill.
Even though these three kingdoms were co-founded by a group of people who led different countries and shared culture and laws, they developed traditions that separated them. This made Spicesol, Balaez, and Raurdame different from one another. Balaez is a kingdom, but the inhabitants, the Felomalians, refer to it as a queendom since Zia has ruled it alone for 25 centuries. Also, the Solians in Spicesol and the Ramarians / Raurdamers in Raurdame referred to it as that. And because Elvira Ordonez will take over, making the country a matriarchy.
Zia Balaez led Balaez as a role model for her citizens alongside Elvira Ordonez; the two, for generations, made the country friendly to demons, humans, and dragons. Zia established areas for dragons to live in, and over the years, the dragons became friendly toward the Felomalians and became a big part of the culture in Balaez. The domain was becoming a good-d place, slightly chaotic due to the dragons and demons, but for the most part, being a virtuous place. And because of Zia and Elvira's long lifespans, they continued leading the country for years and would hire nobles to control the territories inside Balaez.

In 521 ABR, Ziggy Lister and his mages annihilated Caldera, the country's protector, and they eradicated 70% of all civilizations in the world. Zia, Elvira, Delem, and their other heroes led a revolution in the same year to eradicate Lister.
For the time being, Ziggy was cast into a prison realm in a weakened state, still alive, dormant, and trapped indefinitely. Or so we hope.
The nation endured serious losses, and Zia and Elvira led the nation's rebuilding. For years it would grow with sorcerers and Dragons, laws formed, procedures made. Without Caldera, the disgruntled chaotic Dragons couldn't be controlled, leading Zia (in her Dragon form that she acquired) and Elvira (she also has a Dragon form) to have to 'tame' the Dragons to prevent chaos from befalling their country.
Several centuries ed, and Caldera was commemorated, written, and taught in countless schools and engraved in the Felomalian culture. In fact, in a letter from Zia's legislative congress group declaring Lake Minx as Dark Dragon's Cove. However, when the governments published this in 522 ABR, Dragon's was misspelled, the word being spelled as Dragonz instead.
As a result, the country engaged in a strange tradition honoring the comedic part of the news and called Lake Minx the Dragonz Cove. When nations distributed communications between Balaez, rulers often engaged in the tradition and misspelled Dragon as well.
On another note, Balaez continues to grow; Zia currently rules the Demon-Dragon nation while her sidekick, Elvira, is an army General who takes upon a queen's responsibilities. The citizens throughout the centuries viewed Elvira as a princess, even though Zia instituted an act that Elvira would be her warrior who would also assist her in leading Balaez. Some jokes were that Elvira is the "assistant to the regional queen."
In recent years, Balaez became part of the Federation of Raurdame following a dispute called the Kingdom Frenzy, in which Zia played a major role. Her egalitarian principles and Delem's trust in her and him; led her to sign away the partial power of Balaez to the union of nations that make up the Federation of Raurdame.
A few things to note:
People developed a liking toward the supernatural demons who populated Felomalia. For years, the demons who were in barriers for their protection would sometimes be liberated by Zia and Elvira before all of them if a city welcomed and offered to send protection in case there were any hate crimes. Nowadays, demons of all variations (Tartareans, Zeethans made by Ziggy, and other dark mages) coexist with humans and Dragons.
Felomalia dealt with countless issues with demons until 521 ABR when people began to respect and inter-mix with the demons. The year being 2999 ABR; ⅔ of the nation has demon-blood coursing through their veins.
In Balaez, a few thousand Dragon humanoids have migrated from other parts of the world. There were a few cases in 1048 ABR about Dragons using their shape-shift to turn humans and procreating with humans to create hybrids.
Most Dragons live outside civilization, and few than two hundred pure Dragons live in civilization. They typically live by lakes, mountains, and even volcanoes; some claim them as their regional territory.
Zia Balaez entered a relationship with Delem Bloodclaw in 1533 ABR, and Raurdame and Balaez almost became one united nation; however, after a few years of dating, Delem broke up with Zia, and the two were separated.
The Dragons are typically taken care of by farmers and breeders who feed the Dragons crops and fruits grown from trees. Dragon-Tamers often feed Dragons whole animals that are raised, unfortunate for the animals but fortunate for the nation's protection. Dragons are pacifistic towards the people of Felomalia (due to their being institutionalized and all); however, they can be disruptive if people try to hurt them. This is where the Dragon-Tamers come in; with their bonds established, the Tamers can command their' friends' to calm down and stop attacking. Or, they can encourage them to attack. That is the reality of the situation; even when the flying reptilian creatures possess high intellect, their judgment has sometimes been misplaced over the years. In situations where corrupt Dragon Tamers used Dragons to kill law-enforcers, Zia and Elvira have an organization called the Dra Patrol to investigate businesses and animal tamers from time to time.
The Queendom of Dragons, Demons, and Humanity

Queen Zia Balaez, with her sidekick, Elvira Ordonez, an Army General, currently rules the Queendom of Dragons, Demons, and Humanity. Balaez is a brilliant country and a peaceful one at that for one with countless Demons, and they represent civility and lead by example. Zia's power is absolute; however, she has legislative and judicial branches to help her operate the country alongside other organizations to control citizens. A system monitors the nation's inhabitants to ensure its security.

Balaez has 4.1 million populating the nation with six hundred and ninety-one incorporated cities. The nation primarily consists of (mostly) humans, with a quarter of the realm consisting of pure demons and dragon-humanoids. There are only two thousand Dragons in the nation.
A hundred thousand and six hundred Felomalians serve in the military, with an additional fifty thousand employed as military police, border patrol, and Dragon-tamer. The military mainly consists of humans and demons; however, many Dragon humanoids serve (seven thousand in total); other species are not so much not-so-much, but a few are d.
And here is the flag of Balaez
Flag of Balaez

Populations of the Dark Dragonz Cove
Approximations, but it is accurate assuming the population was almost 4.1 Million.
73.59% Mostly Humans or Hybrids/Partial Demon (rounded to 75%/3/4) ≈ 3,017,190
23.91% Pure-Demons (rounded to ¼) ≈ 980,357
2.12% Dragon-Humanoids ≈ 86,920
0.33% Other (Mountain giants, Anubites, Reptors, Aarakocra, Shiner) ≈ 13,530
0.048% Pure-Dragons ≈ 2,003
If you don't like numbers, my explanation above should provide a general idea of this nation.
Felomalian Culture
The Felomalians speak English, Draconic, and Spanish, but primarily English and, in some regions, Spanish. Central and western Felomalians speak English, and the Easterners talk in Spanish. It is required in the Felomalian education that one must learn the other language. Also, their cultures are similar to the United States and Mexico, with Draconic language and writings about Dragons being implemented in the Felomalian culture.
Dawnism is the main religion practiced by the people of Balaez. The religion centers on utilitarian, deontological virtue with a mixture of consequentialism. The worship of Dawn, the Goddess of the Universe, and the preachings teach about acceptance and liberation. However, many Felomalians aren't too concerned with religion. The people of Balaez emphasize intelligence, unity, love, strength, and the country.
Unlike Raurdame, there are not many raiding clans; instead, there are peaceful communities for Magic s. Also, 369,000 (9%) of Felomalians are occupied as Magic-s who do work for people. These mages earn revenue by job requests or by other citizens hiring them, researchers who are studying specific aspects of Earth, physics, and space sciences, Dragon-Tamers, soldiers, or military police soldiers. 83% of employed Felomalians work as laborers, artists, rulers, farmers, architects, construction workers, writers, teachers, and other jobs along the line. And about 4% of Felomalians are in the military or people who teach fighting classes. And about 4% of the citizens are unemployed. People can begin working at age 14 in Balaez, and the minimum wage for all ages is the equivalent of $8. that the currency in the Federation of Raurdame is gold coins, and one coin equals one dollar.
On another note, Balaez's holidays include;
September 2nd is Dragon Festival day, a day to celebrate the season when the dragons first arrived in Balaez 28 centuries ago.
November 26th is the Day of Joy, a day to feast with loved ones (based on Thanksgiving and the Spicesol holiday).
October 5th was the Day of the Felomalians, the day of intelligence and declaration, and the country's anniversary got established. This holiday is in Spicesol and Raurdame since the lands were co-founded and established on the same day in the same year.
December 25th is the day referred to as Dragon's Love, a day in a celebratory week to celebrate the love of dragons and your loved ones. This is a mixture of Valentine's Day and Christmas. This holiday is called Love Day in the Federation of Raurdame, which Balaez is a part of.
January 1st is New Year's day, based on New Year's day in real life; this day is also referred to as SOTW day, which stands for the start of the world. This holiday name is unique to Spicesol and Alvarez in the Federation of Raurdame. Typically, Felomalians set resolutions for this holiday.
March 10th is Balaez's Saviors Day, which celebrates Zia Balaez and Elvira Ordonez's mother, Ailey Ordonez, saving Balaez from the evil Demon Minatory before Zia adopted Elvira.
April 1st is Baby Fools, this holiday is celebrated in plenty of countries, and this holiday is celebrated in real life. However, this holiday is called April Fools in real life instead of Baby Fools. Depending on the part of Felomalia, the citizens couldn't care less about this holiday.
June 28th is Settler's Day, a day to celebrate the reclamation of Balaez back when the evil mage Ziggy Lister destroyed 70% of civilizations 2,478 years ago.
As a conclusive statement about Balaez's culture, there are many beliefs; however, most of the nation is filled with zen people due to the country being founded upon fundamental principles of equality and tranquility.
Notable Cities:

Capital: Grenvee (sometimes spelled Granvee)
Notable Cities: Alexa, Exertion, Tartarius, Quasoli, Noitceffa, Sprinsopia, Cove, Temsik, Lassoloc, Naimer, Xecanoitav, Trig, Reiltou
Notable Places:
Dark Dragonz Cove or Lake Minx

Dark Dragonz Cove, the nickname of Balaez, is partially represented by this one landmark that the people have commemorated. This area isn't for tourists. However, people from fifteen meters can watch the twenty to twenty-four Dragons residing in the area behind ten-foot tall bars encoming the entire bay. The bay, built with a beautiful stygian lake, has many canyons and a cavern. There are a few cabins less than a mile away filled with seven Dragon Tamers (farmers) who grow crops and breed animals to feed the dragons. Around the cove lies a coastal desert alongside a grassland with many oak trees. This place, to some degree, is a historic site commemorating the long-living protector of Caldera, who ed away 2,478 years ago after protecting the nation for over five hundred years—even being the bringer of joy and peace in the country.
Grenvee the Capital City

Three hundred thousand people populate Grenvee; the Capital City is a large territory with many stone buildings and hills. Even a tiny volcano in the southern part of town while the domain rests between darkened mountains throughout the area. In the Capital, Queen Zia Balaez and General Elvira Ordonez live in a palace to the east of the Capital. Because the city is thirty miles from the nation's border, large stone walls are built around the castle with thirty thousand sorcerers and a group of twenty-seven Dragons monitoring the Capital at all times.
Mount Draconix

Mount Draconix is a small volcanic region consisting of fifty to sixty square miles of space. Draconix is between a series of mountains in a beautiful plains territory; this is the only area that isn't exactly bordered.
Draconix consists of thirty to fifty Dragons living in the area, while people can freely enter and exit this territory in the central part of Balaez. Mount Draconix, one of the four large volcanoes, is only six miles east of the city of Tartarius.
Rockenson's Aviary

Rockenson's Aviary in the city of Cove is a park with tropical recreational features that a group of ten or so Dragons of all ages lives in. The building, taking up over ten acres of land, is beautiful and is a recreation of nature. Dragons are institutionalized in and out of the Aviary. Freedom is given to the reptiles to live as they please, and they experience the outside world with the guidance of Dragon-Tamers.
In Balaez, there are countless parks devoted to Dragons; however, Rockenson's Aviary is the only caged area for Dragons.
Extra Details
Currently, Balaez is paying reparations for the war waged against Spicesol, Raurdame, and Alvarez and is part of the Federation of Raurdame. The nation, serving as only a political entity truly controlled by Delem while Zia Balaez has state power, is trusted to lead the country with egalitarian principles of peace.

Many Felomalians are challenging like the Solians but are more peaceful and want peace. They are also like the Ramarians and enjoy partying and socializing.
Countless force fields are cast upon the city of Grenvee; however, the royal palace is mainly protected. If an atom is split, the forcefield and the land around it will be destroyed but not the people inside it. The castle, seven stories with a two-story basement, can store up to six thousand people. It is huge.
The Capital of Balaez is Granvee, populated by two hundred thousand people. Granvee is close to the northern border of Balaez. And there are about 22 large cities in Balaez and almost a hundred smaller towns.
Many in the Military wear the Dragon scales that have fallen from the Draconic beings of Balaez. However, stainless steel and nearly adamantine armor are worn by the people. Sorcerers lay upon enchantments to strengthen the durabilities of the nation's people at times. Durability can also be defined as immune-system-wise; a mage can cast a spell to make a person immune to toxic elements (most: I constitute in my other posts, cyanide, monoxide, and venom).
Only two hundred people use Dragons as transportation in the nation; horses and Magic-powered vehicles are the way for people to get around. In certain regions, such as the northwestern and the central-southern region, there are portals to help people get around via Portal Magic.
