Alruin

Bordering Navum, Vadani and Yurama. The dense ancient forests and massive fortresses of Alruin are legendary throughout Atlas. Build upon foundations of dwarven ruins; the Alrunite people have many ties with the ancient dwarven race. Home of the most brilliant scholars, 'The Alruni Institute' dedicated themselves to uncovering the secret behind technology employed and left abandoned by the sudden disappearance of the Ancient Dwarves. To this day- Alruin is famed for it's technological marvel and impenetrable fortresses.

"Even if darkness falls and the world is set ablaze, we Alrunite will forever stand our ground. We have inherited this legacy from our ancestral Dwarves- and nobody will take it from us. Together we stand as one under the Lion's banner! We. Are. Alruin!" ~ Battle cry ed down upon generations of High-kings of Alruin.

Perhaps the most impressive invention in Alruin- perhaps even Atlas itself, is the steam powered 'Bullrush'. A four-hundred metre long steam-train. Able to transport people, goods and raw minerals through the entirety of Alruin. The front of the train is modelled after a bull's head. This was designed in honour of High-king Murand Towershield- also known as 'The Bull of Alruin'. Murand had unfortunately met his end during the forty-five year war between Alruin and Navum. Murand's grandson, Vulucian Lionsheart was elected to become Alruins new High-king, who after many years of struggling became the most respected High-king in Alruin history.

Not all are ers of the mechanical wonders of Alruin- the dryads of Alruin's dense ancient forests are scared and turned aggressive towards the Alrunite people. Not straying far from their forests, they protect and inhabit the time-forgotten Dwarven ruins. This prevents the of the institute from uncovering more of Alruin's past and many Dwarven documents. Recovering these documents, memento's, blueprints or rare minerals fetches for very high prices- yet the snatching them from the Dryads has deemed a task usually resulting in becoming a nature-bound thrall or killed entirely.
