⚹ The Positivity League theme for

   this month was to create either

   a Christmas or winter card. - 𔓕 -

         ⚹ I'm already a bit late with my

            Christmas content, but I wanted

            to finish my project before this

            year is over. - 𔓕 -

⚹ This was actually perfect for me,

   as I had already started on an

   EXO Christmas card that I was

   about to post soon anyway. - 𔓕 -

⚹ My inspiration for the following

   card was a paper card I created

   together with the kids for their

   parents a few years ago in my

   kindergarten. And I thought it'd

   be funny to make EXO balls out

   of Christmas tree balls. - 𔓕 -

           ⚹ I haven't embroidered since I

               was a child, and back then only

               simple children's embroidery

               pictures. Since I'm someone who

               likes to try new things in

               of handicrafts, I really wanted to

               do that! - 𔓕 -

⚹ I bought an Embroidery Starter Kit

   (if you try something new, don't

   invest too much money at first). - 𔓕 -

⚹ For this Christmas card I used:

  ⭒ Embroidery threads in brown,

      golden yellow, light yellow,

      light green and a darker green,

      dark brown and red

  ⭒ An embroidery needle suitable

      for 2-3 strands

  ⭒ An untwist tool

  ⭒ A scissor

  ⭒ A needle threader

  ⭒ Aida cloth

  ⭒ Glue

  ⭒ Water-soluble pens - 𔓕 -

           ⚹ First I informed myself about

               different stitching methods, and

               then I started with the cross stitch.

               I also used the back stitch for the

               EXO logo and for the branch. The

               Christmas flower decoration was

               made with tulip stitches, advanced

               cross-stitches and other kind of

               stitches. - 𔓕 -

⚹ On the unfortunately only WIP

   photo I took, you can still see

   blue lines. That's because I

   have painted the circles for

   the EXO Christmas balls with

   the help of coins. - 𔓕 -

⚹ This is the final embroidered

   EXO Christmas card. I cut out

   the cloth so that it fits on a

   card and after that I fixed it

   on a beige card with glue. - 𔓕 -

           ⚹ You can click on the pictures if

               the Amino picture quality is low. - 𔓕 -

⚹ The X is supposed to be a

   reference to the Kokobop logo

   (strong contrast, since Kokobop

   does not give me any winter

   vibes), but I thought it works

   quite well for the plants. - 𔓕 -

⚹ Since it is my first real embroidery

  project, I am more than satisfied

  with myself, even if I am far from

  being a professional. It was a lot

  of fun and I will definitely continue

  to embroider. I was able to relax

  and that was my main goal after a

  busy pre-Christmas period. My next

  project is one of the EXO ,

  I just don't know who yet. - 𔓕 -
