Dear Dae ,

How are you ??

It’s been years since I’ve seen your

gleaming smile or felt your warm

presence around me but I guess the sun’s

light and warmth will have to do .

Everyday is a struggle , since the moment

I left that April to now ,

something is missing . This emptiness has

risen inside of me making me feel hollow

and dead inside but I guess that tends to

happen if you’ve killed hundreds of men .

Stripping their families of their loved ones ,

their gleaming smiles and their warmth .

Don’t worry about me though ,

I have good friends that I’ve made here.

Chanyeol is an honourable man who cares

for his comrades and General Zhang is such

a respectable man that comes across as strict

but it’s just him caring for us .

He is a worthy leader that I would sacrifice

my life for .

Even though the guilt may build

up in me I do find peace within my self from

time to time and it’s when we travel past the

open valleys and mountains of luscious

emerald grass and the sweet smell of the

fresh , cold air that pierces your lungs when

you breathe in but once you exhale the

refreshing sensation that rushes through my

body almost making me shake in pleasure .

During this time I think of you , how the sky

resembles your clear and kind eyes that

sparkle just as the sky sparkles when the

rain drops down . How the sunshine

unbelievably resembles your angelic glow

and presence and suddenly an

unexplainable warmth fills me and even

when I’m walking carrying my fallen

comrades , I still manage to find happiness

with in my memories of you . I’m not sure I’ll

ever see you again or ever be able to hear

your voice , the voice that encouraged me to

carry on and soothed me through endless

nights full of regret and self pity . I’m so

thankful to have been blessed with an

angel , I don’t know if it’s been as hard as for

you as it has been for me to be so far away

but I can’t hold you back anymore . I want

you to live a life you won’t regret . Get

married and experience the wonders of

being a parent . Don’t wait for something

that was never meant to be , no matter how

beautiful it was .
