               Sooooo ! I wrote this lol while

             at a track meet because I was in-

             pired so I hope y’all enjoy hehe !

Baekhyun turned his head around and looked at the man in front of him. He held an umbrella in his right hand that was opened just above his fiery redhead. The umbrella was transparent with white edges, and it allowed Baekhyun to observe the water droplets hitting the top of the object that then slid down onto the concrete.

The man was frozen in his place, with a creepy grin on his face, as if he had just found his target or his next conquest. Baekhyun was left stunned. He had no idea how to respond to the male. He felt as if his biggest secrets were held in the palms of the stranger. He wanted to share them with himself and the universe, that was it.

But he didn't have a choice now, and he was left with this man. Without thinking, he turned his head towards the voice. When Baekhyun had realized how he showed the man that he had heard him, he cursed to himself.

"Did I not speak loud enough?" He added with a tease in his voice. Red dusted all over Baekhyun's round cheeks as he held his position. Baekhyun's hands were resting flatly on his thighs while his knees were pressed deep into the ground. With his head hung low, he listened carefully to the footsteps that were nearing him.

"I said-" he started, bending down to Baekhyun's level. The man reached forward and placed his hand on Baekhyun's shoulder. Baehyun visibly tensed, hating the physical from the stranger. Yet, not pushing him off because his mind was telling him that it felt good. His hand was warm, and it sent jolts of electricity through his body.

"How could one person wish for so many things?"

Baekhyun wiped his dried tears with the back of his hand and turned his head towards the other's direction.

"because I need so many things." When their eyes made , the other male's facial features softened as Baekhyun sad brown eyes darted away from him. He stood up and held out his hand for Baekhyun to take.

"Come with me."

Baekhyun's mind went blank, and he automatically nodded slowly, "okay". Baekhyun took the other's hand and used it as a guide to lift himself off of the cold ground.

He wiped his face again and let the stranger lead him.

The man cleared his throat and spoke, “So, tell me about yourself?” Baekhyun flickered his eyes towards the male before shifting them back towards the ground. He shrugged his shoulders, hands glued to his sides.

“You don’t like to speak often, do you?” Baekhyun shook his head, earning a small chuckle from the larger male.

“Well, how about I go first?” He quickly adjusted his umbrella so that Baekhyun would be covered from the unspoken rain that decided to begin falling as Baekhyun was on the floor minutes before.

“Thanks” he mumbled when he realized what the other had done for him.

“My name is Chanyeol, Park Chanyeol and I like cheese.” Baekhyun wouldn’t let himself laugh, but he covered his mouth with both of his hands as he quietly giggled at the ending. What idiot announces to the person he just met that he likes cheese, it’s so random.

“I’m Baekhyun, and I like animal crackers.” Chanyeol halted in his step, eyes wide, “animal crackers? what are you, five years old?” Baekhyun lightly hit him on the shoulder and scrunched his nose. “So if I am, what about it? They taste really good.”

Baekhyun made sure to emphasize the really to exaggerate his point. Chanyeol put his free hand in the air, holding it up for defence. He was afraid that Baekhyun might attack him if he said anything bad about his crackers.

“Okay, okay I get it.” Baekhyun huffed, “You better, don’t shit on my animal crackers.”

Chanyeol ruffled Baekhyun’s hair, loving the feeling of the soft locks on his larger hands.

“Don’t do that-“ Baekhyun said, roughly pulling Chanyeol’s arm to get his hand away from his head.

“It’s my way of saying sorry-“

Baekhyun interjects, “Well, just say sorry then!”.

“What’s the fun in that Baekhyun?” Sighing, Baekhyun focused his attention back to his shoes, the ones he rushed to put on when he left the house. The house where his parents had broken down the news to him, of their separation. Fuck. Baekhyun felt the tears build up behind his eyes and he tried his best to blink them back.

He didn’t want to cry in front of his new friend. It would be downright embarrassing.

“Why were you crying earlier?” Chanyeol asked out of the blue. They were now standing in front of the window of a tiny boutique. They could see themselves clearly in the reflection, and it irked Baekhyun to see his rugged position. His hair was messy (thanks to Chanyeol’s doing), his eyes were red, and his lips were bleeding from bitting down on them too much. It looked like a hot mess. Chanyeol, on the other hand, seemed well put together.

His words started stable, full of confidence but as he went on, he didn’t even know what he was saying. “None of your business..” Baekhyun replied.

“Well you really looked like you needed someone-“ Baekhyun slammed his hand against the glass of the boutique in anger. Lucky for him, it didn’t trigger any alarms.

“I don’t need anyone!”
