It has been awhile since participating in a challenge, but I could hardly the #EXODEUXtilthesundown

Any who, and before going on, I would like to address a few things to those reading:

This blog entry is for #teamxexo (Between you and me, I am still neutral in all this, but ĖXØ is quite the intriguing subject. I am sorry, not sorry EXO.)

I did my best to paraphrase the MAMA narrative, but I dyo encourage everyone to listen to the video to get into the mood of this serious session. The choice is yeol’s of course.

As you read further, you will notice a brief underlined paragraph for each member. That is where the ørīgīn of ėxø truly lies. (Yes, I may have had one too many soojohs) And of course it goes without saying, that credit for the video, images and gifs go to their respective owners.

So without any further white noise, I would like to present my version of how ĖXØ came to be with…

THĖ MĀRK of ØBSĖSSIØN

It may just be the oddest origin you have read yet.

EXO - MAMA Narrative

When the sky and ground stood as one, a legend of twelve forces cared for this one tree. A tree which symbolizes life. Then one day, a red eyed force created an evil that desired to have the tree’s heart for its own. Hence, the tree slowly withered into a barren state. To sustain what little life the tree possessed, the twelve forces split the tree in half and hid those halves into separate locations.

Thus, time and space became altered. The legends then separated themselves to two different worlds that looked alike but witnessed different skies. There shall come a day when the grounds and the skies of both worlds align under one sun. On that day, the twelve forces will have reunited, the red eyed force will be purified, and the new world is awakened.

Ėxø’s Ørīgīn

JUN-MYEON : SUHØ

His counterpart, Jun-myeon, led his eleven brothers through a variety of tides. The path may not have been entirely smooth, but he utilized every rock and ridge to get himself and the others across. Hence, his guidance and determination served him quite well in the maze.

Although, his brief time in Marseille may just be the very point in which the tides turned against him and crashed into his body.

Thus, being baptized, not as Jun-myeon, but the monster Suhø. A little gambling here and there was not enough to quench the thirst of his new form. However, the war and power of a solar eclipse would solidify his mark.

BAEKHYUN : BAËKHYUN

:sunny: ☠ :sunny:

In many situations, Baekhyun’s laughter is hard to equate to the sun since he provides his own shine to life and the people surrounding him. Of course, his boisterous antics have found him earning a few playful slaps here and there by his own brothers. Hence, the light from his mouth and bracelet on his hand helped keep the darkness of the maze at bay.

Although, the lights of Lyon appeared to have had something else in mind and engulfed the beagle in darkness.

Thus, Baëkhyun emerged with a shimmer of evil in his eye. Gambling his earnings did nothing to lighten his heart, but it was the war and power of a solar eclipse that energized his new mark.

JONG-DAE : CHËN

:zap: ☠ :zap:

Jong-dae was the generous fairy who looked out for his brothers and even strangers. He once offered the ghosts roaming a haunted house some hot packs (hand warmers) which shows he has a kindness that keeps on giving without receiving. Hence, this very spirit is what most likely kept him focused while trying to escape the maze.

Although, a lightning storm in Almaty would change things. How? Jong-dae sealed his lips and used the corner of his sleeves to hide the sparks of electricity swimming across his fingers.

Thus, leaving one to question where Jong-dae is as Chën appears out of nowhere. When speaking of gambling, he likes to lean back and claim how savory the wine is over the pursuit of his earnings. However, it was the war and power of a solar eclipse emitting his new mark.

CHANYEOL : CHANYEØL

:fire: ☠ :fire:

Chanyeol bursts of a ion and energy that has had him at the receiving end of a few playful hits from his brothers. This quality somehow kept him straight while in the maze.

Although, his time in Arizona caught on like a wildfire and claimed the giant phoenix.

Thus, Chanyeøl rose from the ashes. His life of gambling barely maintained a little flicker of his past ion and energy, yet the war and power of a solar eclipse would ignite a flame in his new mark.

JONG-IN : KĀI

🕳☠🕴

Jong-in’s looks, dance skills and love for his dogs have been ired by many and in more ways than ones. Some of his brothers have even claimed to be a huge fan of this young individual. Teleportation was his best friend in the maze since it “Opened a lot of Kais” for him.

Although, London caused a few glitches in his power.

Thus, his moment of black and white is what most likely switched Jong-in into Kāi. Of course, he found himself gambling along with his brothers and never being truly satisfied. However, the war and power of a solar eclipse transported its own translucent skin into his new mark.

SEHUN : SEHŮN

🌪☠🌪

Sehun was the handsome maknae who knew ways of gaining the attention of his brothers. When he was not doing that, he was spending time with his precious Vivi. His connection to the wind surely played a part in getting out of the maze, yet asking the eye of the storm may have a different view.

Although, it was the high winds that gushed through Edinburgh and swept up the youngest brother with it.

Thus, a monster by the name of Sehůn left in Sehun’s stead. Was this wise? The answer remains uncertain. All that is known, is the fact he gambled alongside his monstrous brothers as the war and power of a solar eclipse seeped down into his new mark.

If you were to ask the six powers about that one bike ride or love shot, Ėxø would avoid your question and drag you into the øbsėssiøn. It is truly a shame that three are uned for, but how true is that?

Whėrė arė thė Øthėr Ėxø Ørīgīns?

MINSEOK {XIUMIN} : ___________

:snowflake: ☠ :snowflake:

The quiet Minseok was chilled around his brothers most of the time before something in Berlin sculpted him into a monster. His new demeanor certainly blessed him with a solidly handsome poker face though.

However, there was something about his escape from the maze, the war and a solar eclipse that made his last bike ride take a silent turn from his own brothers. Was it the love shot? I guess we shall have to wait for the thaw out…

Kyungsoo {D.O.} : ___________

:seedling: ☠ :seedling:

The quiet and reserved Kyungsoo secretly cared for each brother. When he was not playfully hitting them, he was occasionally laughing with them or cooking for them. His strength kept the beast in him tamed for awhile. Although, his time in Colorado somehow gave the monster the upper hand. The master of cockfights would emerge.

Yixing {LAY} : ___________

:sheep: ☠ :sheep:

The quiet sheep known as Yixing had quite the healing hand. His brothers would be the first to acknowledge this. Although, it took him sitting in a tiny shop located in Yunnan to realize his presence was unwelcome. The flowers and roots outside wanted him to wither into a monstrous new form. He too, was not immune to gambling, but like his brothers, the game was tiresome and hardly loved them right.

Their mark of øbsėssiøn appears incomplete but I strongly believe their path will realign with their brothers again.

But That Still Leaves Three Powers unforetold

To put it simply, Luhan’s telekinesis and Kris’ flying capabilities kept them locked in the maze for some unknown reason. With that said, they continue to push forward with the hope of returning to their brothers.

Tao was lucky enough to escape the maze with ten of his brothers. However, the time in Barcelona was not on his side. It was on a constant replay. Like Luhan and Kris, he is also pushing forward with a hope in reuniting with his eleven brothers. Even if it is at the cost of mes his own timeline.

These three powerful and legendary forces may be stuck, but are always carried with the heart of the pack. I believe they too will meet and maybe even bare the same øbsėssiøn their brothers have fallen into. A time the prophecy remarks, “A new world shall open up.”

So There You Have the Ørīgīn of Ėxø
