♡ Ex'Act unboxing - Lucky One (korean) ♡

I am back with another album unboxing~ And I am so happy that I finally own this one!

I also can't wait to order the Monster version *-* Anyway, let's start with the unboxing!

Before I talk about the songs on the album, I would like to say some things first: I know that many fans were actually kinda disappointed with this album. And I can understand why, because it's completely different compared to EXO's other albums. But that's Ex'Actly one of the many things that I love about EXO: They try so many different things out. Ex'Act might not be my favorite album, but I still love the songs on it.

And I just have a special bond to this album. First of all, Lucky One/Monster was my first comeback. It was the first time that I actually got to know how the whole fandom freaks out, the first time that I read all these amazing theories, saw all the memes and all the leaks... It was such an interesting and cool time for me!

Ex'Act came out on the day I had my final school exam. So I just kinda always get reminded of all the free time I had after that whenever I listen to these songs *-*

These are the reasons why I love this album so much. Let's look at the songs now!

1. Lucky One ♡

A four leaf clover that I luckily found~ :four_leaf_clover:

I love Lucky One and it's sad that it got so forgotten because Monster was promoted more. Even though I actually prefer Monster, I still love both of the songs. But I am not a big fan of the mv if I am completely honest. Don't get me wrong, it's a really interesting story, but my problem is that it doesn't really fit the upbeat song. That's why I wanted a performance version or at least the dance practice, but you can't have everything... Thankfully we got some nice live performances where we can see the great choreography!

2. Monster ♡

I'm engraved in your heart, so even if I die, I'll live forever~ :heart_decoration:

The fanchants of EXO-Ls are always on point!

I am so happy that we finally reached the 100M views! So, like I said earlier, I prefer Monster over Lucky One. That goes for the pictures in the album and for the songs. I still how the dance practice got leaked and yes, I watched it. Several times because I just couldn't stop myself from it haha^^ People actually said that the version of the song that was used was just a random english song, but one day later it was confirmed to be the demo version. I was happy when I read that since I really liked the song! The "Creeping, creeping, creeping" was stuck in my head all day.

And EXO made it even better *-* I love the choreography and Chanyeol's and Sehun's rap is my favorite part of the song!

3. Artificial Love ♡

Tell me what is the truth and what is a lie~ :heartpulse:

This song got me shook. I was not expecting something like this from EXO, but I am happy that we got it. I didn't know that Suho's voice can go that deep. And the part where Chanyeol/Sehun and Kai/Xiumin are rapping/singing is just amazing :O Chanyeol's whispering in the background of the song is all I ever wanted in my life... And then we have that rude choreography :') Artificial Love is definetely one of my favorite songs on this album.

4. Cloud 9 ♡

Tell me this isn't a dream that'll disappear or just by~ :cloud:

I have to it that it took me some time to get used to the effect they put over the "Girl you got me flying up" parts, but now I really love this song. My favorite parts are definetely Chanyeol's singing part and the way Chen and him are harmonizing. I also love the end of the song with the "Flying up".

This song just feels and sounds like a fluffy dream~

5. Heaven ♡

When the lights go out and the moon disappears it's still bright because you are the star that the sky dropped~ :star:

^This line is so beautiful. I am really proud of Chanyeol since he wrote the lyrics for this song. He loves music so much and you could really see how happy he was to get this opportunity~ Sehun's rapping improved so much and I love that Kai is basically a vocalist now since he has a really nice voice.

6. White Noise ♡

I can't see you but I can hear you~ :sound:

This is my favorite song on the album. It's so beautiful! I did not expect the chorus to go like this, but the high notes are so pleasing to listen to! My favorite part is near the end, where Kyungsoo sings the chorus while Chen sings "Somebody loves you". I am just speechless :hearts: _ :hearts:

7. One and Only ♡

Even in my dreams I dream of you all night~ :cherry_blossom:

Let's not talk about the weird airhorn in the beginning of this song... I really don't know who thought that it's a good idea to put that sound in the song haha.

I think Kai's voice really suits the song. And Kyungsoo. Wow. His vocal run and his adlibs are on point~ This is such a soothing song!

8. They never know ♡

Would you dare to cross the line?~ :zap:

Nice vocals everywhere on this album. I kinda don't like this song as much as the other ones on the album, but it definetely has a nice feel to it and has great lyrics. My favorite part is the "Let go, don't say no" and Chen's "Don't listen to other voices, baby".WOW. That part is so beautiful.

9. Stronger ♡

Like the sunlight we are stronger, me and you~ :heartbeat:

I don't know why I don't listen to EXO's ballads that often even though all of them are so beautiful. I should really try to appreciate them more! This song has such a great meaning~ And like usually, our vocalists slay the song.

It's really nice to listen to the instrumental versions of these two songs for a change! You might notice things in the songs you didn't even pay attention to before.

So that are all of the songs. I think the album has a really relaxing and dreamy feeling to it. You can listen to most of the songs right before going to bed because they are so soft and soothing!

The pictures are very aesthetic and fit the whole concept of the album pretty well!

And I got the poster, too. I have to it that I like some of these pictures more than the ones in the album haha. I saw some people who cut the pictures out and actually used them to decorate the slip cover of the album :o I might cut the pictures out, too, since I really don't have space for posters in my room, but I don't think that I would glue something on my albums :)

Now to one of my favorite parts when it comes to a new album: The photocard!

I was screaming and jumping like crazy when I saw it haha. It's my fist Baekhyun photocard, it's a really cute one and who doesn't love this cute puppy?^^
