Guess who's back. Back again. And I don't know the rest of the lyrics :joy: :joy: . It's Aeri once again with a drabble that is inspired by Hannah Montana with our beloved China Sheep being "Miley." And yes, I was watching the Hannah Montana movie then came up with this.

It was the idea of having like a split personality of being on and off the stage is what intrigues me most. And who better than Lay? We can see him in two ways:

1) Aww what a soft child.. I wanna protect him and give him all thelive he deserves and make him the best meals so he has enough energy and---

2) WHAT ARE YOU DOING, SIR?!! STOP PLAYING WITH MY HEART!! I LOVE YOU AND ALL BUT YA GOTTA STOP HURTING ME LIKE THIS!! WHO EVEN ALLOWED YOU TO DO THIS?

So yeaahhhhh

Plus this is his birthday month so I gotta do something. Better late than never

It was already time for the night to end but the fans’ screaming added fuel to Lay's adrenaline. He loved the feeling of being energized by his fans while being on stage. To him, it was like being shocked with a defibrillator-- it made him alive. There was nothing in the world that he would trade for his fans.

“Everybody, it’s already late and I’m sure your parents are worried,” he began, still panting from his last performance. “I don’t want anything bad to happen to any of you while you go home or to your hotel.”

His fans awwed at his thoughtfulness. They didn’t want it to end, yes, but he has a valid point. He didn’t win peoples’ most thoughtful artist for nothing.

“I had a really great time with you guys tonight, but don’t be sad! I’ll see you all tomorrow!” He smiled as the stage below him slowly sank, gradually making him less visible to the fans still chanting his stage name.

Lay was always open to his fans about his problems: the struggles of going from country to country for various schedules, writing songs that will please both him and his company, his wacky sleep schedule, and many more. His fans were basically his second family-- he shares everything with them.

Except for two things.

One: that he has a boyfriend and two: his real name.

Despite being an artist known internationally, the only thing he hasn’t told about himself is his real name. Whenever he was asked during interviews, he would always find a diversion to skip to the next segment or question. He knows that many of his fans want to know it, but he figured that he won’t be able to live a peaceful life when off the spotlight as he wanted to spend them with his boyfriend of three (soon four) years, Kim Jongdae.

He kept both facts to himself and his parents. Not even his company nor his manager is aware of it. That’s how important they were to him. And all it takes is a simple hairstyle and a lot less makeup to tell Lay and Yixing apart.

But he can’t help but feel like he’s lying to everyone. To Jongdae, to his company, to his staff, to his fans, and to his family. He knows he’s bound to tell Jongdae one day (eyyy) but he doesn’t know when.

He’s scared.

“There’s my favorite China Sheep! Amazing performance, as usual!” His manager, Kris, complimented. “Only one day left until you finished your tour. How are ya feeling?”

“To be honest, I’m sad yet relieved, ” Lay answered, taking a swig of water right after.

“Because you get to rest for a bit now?”

“Exactly.”

“Just not to anything that would damage your rep, ‘kay?” Kris punched his shoulder jokingly.

“I know, I know. Just text me if something comes up.”

“What did you plan this time?” Jongdae giggled, his hands currently on top of Yixing’s as they were blocking his sight.

“I told you, it’s a surprise. Please just wait for a few more seconds.” He cooed, mustering the softest voice he could.

After double-checking the decorations (for the fifth time), he finally released his hands and let Jongdae look at where they brought them.

It was the rooftop of Yixing’s apartment building. The floor had a red carpet made out of rose petals that lead to a candle-lit table along with some string lights emitting a soft glow above it. It may be a cliche date-setting but he knew his boyfriend loves a good one.

After seating his boyfriend and himself down, Yixing pressed a button on a remote and a soft acoustic began to fill the air. Now, this is what he knew that Jongdae absolutely loved about their dates: Yixing would always, somehow, play music at them. If he did it live or played a recording, he knows that Yixing made it just for him.

“Is this a new song?” he asked, his cheeks puffed from the food inside.

“Yeah.”

“It sounds amazing.”

“You give me too much credit.”

“Because you give yourself too less of it.”

Yixing loved this part of their dates when they’ll talk about anything and everything. Sometimes he’d even share stories about his concerts after making some changes to it.

“Has anyone ever told you that you kind of look like that “Lay” guy?” Jongdae raised an eyebrow.

Oh no.

“No, why?” He replied, shocked. It is the first time anyone told him that. And from his own boyfriend nonetheless.

“Because I swear, when you smile like that, I can see a bit of semblance between you two. Or it could be just me, I don’t know.”

“It could just be a coincidence,” he shrugged, “they say that a person could have like, seven look-alikes in the world. And I’m honored that you think that I look like a handsome artist.” he winked.

“No-no-no… I just get this weird feeling, you know? A gut feeling.”

Yixing was not liking where this was going. He’s aware that out of all the people he knows, Jongdae’s gut was rarely wrong.

“What makes you say that?”

“It’s hard to explain, but I just feel like there’s something between you two.”

"Are you a fan of his?" He slightly leaned forward, eager to know if Jongdae likes his other persona.

"Yes!" He gushed. "I really love how he's comionate towards everyone. The guy doesn't have a bad bone in his body! And his music just has this perfect blend of cute and sexy. Although a bit too much sexy for my taste hehe."

I better write more cute songs then.

"So who would you pick? Me or him?"

"I woul--"

Then Yixing’s phone rang.

It couldn’t be his parents as it is pretty late. It couldn’t be his manager as he literally just finished his tour (made him promise not to create any last-minute schedules nor announcements). Their friends are already aware of their date. It was not looking good for him in general.

"Who is that?" Jongdae asked, curious as to who would call his boyfriend. At eleven in the evening, no less.

Stifling a nervous laugh, Yixing took a glance at his screen to find his manager call. "An old friend of mine." He lied.

"Aren't you gonna answer it?"

"You're more important tonight than a friend." Yixing cooed, gently brushing Jongdae's stray bangs away from his eyes.

Can't he hold a schedule in for at least a day?!

"Besides, tonight's our night, ? Let's enjoy it." He suggested, pulling Jongdae up and began to slow dance.

It was beautiful.

Until it wasn't.

"Lay, I've been trying to reach you for ten minutes now--" Kris barged in.

"Lay?!" Jongdae parroted.

"Excuse me, but do I know you?" Yixing nervously asked. This was not how he wanted Jongdae to know.

"Lay? Are you joking right now?" Jongdae asked the stranger, looking between him and the man in front of him.

Yixing couldn't believe this.

"I'm sorry, and you are?" Kris asked Jongdae, getting visibly irritated and curious.

"Excuse me, but I think you have the wrong person." Yixing intercepted. He didn't want Jongdae to tell his manager about himself just yet. Not until after he tells him about his other life.

"No, I'm pretty sure I have the right person."

"Prove it." Yixing challenged, stealthily putting his phone on silent mode behind him.

And true to his prediction, Kris dialed the idol's number and looked expectantly at "Lay."

Bringing out his phone, he quickly turned it off before showing it. "No call. Sorry buddy."

Embarrassed, Kris apologized and exited the rooftop while scratching his head in confusion.

Yixing released the breath he'd been holding.

"That was odd." Jongdae remarked, still befuddled at the encounter. "Even more so that it was just our topic, hehe."

"Yeah, weird." Yixing breathed out before adding, "Quick question, are you free tomorrow?"

The younger hummed and thought of his activities for the following day. "I'm free at about eight in the evening. Why do you ask?"

Yixing who was slowly leading them back to the table -- where his bag is -- acted nonchalantly, "Well, since you like Lay, and tomorrow's our fourth anniversary, I was wondering if," he reached into his bag and pulled out two tickets, "you'd want to watch his concert with me?" He asked, extending two tickets to his sold-out concert.

"I you saying that you wanted to go to a concert together but we were so busy that none of the dates aligned quite perfectly," Yixing explained. "So? Will you go with me?"
