Please don't call anyone selfish, but these are fictional characters. Who was selfish, Raven Queen or Apple White?
• Reasons for Both Sides •
Raven:
Even though the tradition wasn't true, the logic that was ed down throughout generations was that if anyone refused to sign for their destines to tell their stories to The Readers, that person and everyone in their story would cease to exist, die, and be wiped from memory.
Raven only thought of herself when she refused to sign the Storybook of Legends, and greatly risked the safety of Apple White and many other people for the sake of having her own good life. If Heaster Grimm was right, people would cease to exist and be wiped from memory, which is why Raven's refusal was a selfish act.
Apple:
Apple always talks about her happily-ever-after and never Raven's. She never considers Raven's feelings and how she would feel and experience as the Evil Queen, and how Raven would have a terrible life while Apple would have a great life. She forces the pressure onto Raven, Briar, and many who are around her. She doesn't think about or care about the horrible losses and lives that the others will have to go through if they sign the Storybook of Legends, and is often focused on herself when it comes to destinies.

Ik I’m a little late posting on this, but now I realized there was writings for both and for apple, it was annoying that she wasn’t thinking of what they were going to go through if they all signed, but that’s because she was thinking of what was going to happen to them if they didn’t sign (or what she believed was going to happen to them if they didn’t sign. And I know she was thinking of herself also but this is another thing to think about while voting)
Tbh even though it can be said that both Apple and Raven were being selfish, I’m more on Raven’s side when it comes to the whole destiny thing. Like, just because it’s tradition in Ever After for the kids to take up their parents’ roles, it also isn’t fair that a lot of them have to suffer for other people to get their happy endings. And not all of the “villain” kids are even bad people, but they were essentially being forced into villainous roles. Apple was more concerned with happy endings, but Raven was more concerned about the fact that herself and a lot of other people weren’t getting a choice in what they wanted to do with their lives.
