Grazing command - Dittes magic button?

Today I took Ditte for a walk and discovered almost a magic button.

I want to do more walks to help her loose weight and just really don't want to fight her with the grass. So, i decided to install the buttons "Eat" and "Done" which quite obviously allow her to eat or say eating time is over.

I did it a bit, especially saying eat when she was walking nicely and generally doing things I liked, like not pulling for grass. When she started to get it, we stopped every 2 m for a grazing pause. From that point, she had gone from unable to walk and just wanting to run or pulling to grass, to walking nice and relaxed, eating and leaving as I asked for.

Then she did something i didn't expect. She left the grass to continue walking. We walked probably 50 m like this, her walking and grazing as she pleased. I wanted her to choose walking, so I decided that the one choosing to walk on will choose when to graze again.

At the end of the walk, which is around 2 km, i had a relaxed horse who could easily leave grass on her own or my command, relaxed to the point her neck started forming an arch at times instead of her usual underneck.

I'm absolutely blown away. All I hoped for was not fighting *too* much about whether or not to graze, but what i got was a relaxed horse with no problems leaving the grass. I will definitely continue this, since it work so well for Ditte. Hopefully the time walking vs grazing will improve though, else she won't loose much weight :sweat_smile:
