winning our first event together!

hello!

me and sy had a great weekend! this was our first mini event ever together, and all our hard work definitely paid off :)

dressage

our day started off VERY strong with a dressage score of 34.4 our left lead has always been hard for us and he actually got the right lead! warming up i definitely think we would actually get us the score that we got.

he’s a horse that dose get tight sometimes and he was very relaxed and willing to come into ! now that i’ve run through this dressage test multiple times it was great to finally nail it down! :)

cross country

me and my trainer both agreed that it would be best for me to trot most of the course so he didn’t literally rip my arms off, and then gallop through the course.

this was our last cross country jump of the course, and we ended up going clear! i was very proud that he was actually pretty calm and put in a very good run. :)

show jumping

of course this was our last event and we where both tired. i tried to warm him up for a solid 10 minutes but they where running late and ended up walking closer to 40 minutes. but we did put in a clean round!

i did also trot this course to keep him in control and keep him honest to my aids. but overall it was a pretty calm round

overall i was very proud of sy! this was my first event with him and he definitely did not come to disappoint. we got to do a victory gallop, and he definitely knew he did a good job :))

definitely had a great time and can’t wait for one more event this season!
