✿heyyy!✿
✿i am the owner of arizona racing stables, and I am going to be telling you about how hard it is to train a race horse and how to train a race horse.✿
✿how to train a race horse, from foal to adult✿
✿as you know, starting a colt/filly can be pretty difficult. but it can be done. the trainers here at arizona stables start by lunging. try to create a bond between you and the horse. take it easy, don’t get frustrated. when you think the horse is ready to up, slowly walk away. if the horse walks toward you, then you know you and the horse have a bond.✿
✿the next step is saddling the horse. just start by slowly distributing your weight onto the horses back. if the horse has any reaction, don’t put the saddle pad on its back. if the horse doesn’t show a sign of grief, put the saddle pad on its back. start the process again, the only difference is your going to put the saddle on. if this works out, proceed to the next step after some time.✿
✿the third step is riding. put your foot in the stirrup, have someone apply weight to the other one with their hand. again, if the horse reacts drop the pressure and try again until you get it. once the horse allows the pressure, swing your leg over and put your other foot in the stirrup. ask the horse to walk with verbal commands as your just starting. if the horse bucks hop off and lead them around a little. but to get back on again!✿
✿last but not least, test the horse in the gate at your local track. if the horse is good in the gate, walk the horse around the track and keep starting them in the gate. try it at different speeds, as all horses are different and go at different paces.✿
✿thank you so much for reading and I hope this helps you and shows you how hard working at a racing stable is. if you have any questions or would like to have an interview, give us a call at 623-243-8196.✿
(keep in mind this is all RRP, i am not in the horse racing business. these posts are just for entertainment purposes.)
