The Horses are lame

As you can see from the title two of the horses are lame. My horse Lancer has been lame for a couple days now, and recently got a bad cut very close to his eye, and also one of his hock. The one on his hock is most likely from the horse he’s with while in the pen.

Zippy is lame also. For those who may not know, Zippy is my aunts horse. He can barely walk and has been on stall rest the past two days. All we know is that he did something while rolling in his stall a couple days ago when they were left in because of a storm that was supposed to happen. Zippy’s leg is currently swollen a little bit but luckily he’s putting a little bit of weight on it and taking a couple of steps.

Here are the resent pictures of the two. Zippy is the one eating hay and Lancer is the one on the crossties for those who may not know. I will keep you updated on them. Please ignore Lancer’s hooves, I know he needs to be trimmed and we will be getting a farrier out as soon as Zippy gets better so the farrier can do all three horses at my aunts barn instead of just one and coming back later.

it’s been very hot these past few days (in the 90’s) so Lancer looks a bit sweaty, after brushing him and getting some pictures I did sponge him down a little bit. He was mostly sweating on his chest and neck area.
