Jumping Lesson

Yesterday I had my Showjumping lesson, but my pop is in hospital so he couldn’t bring Magic to the lesson, so my jumping instructor let me ride one of her horses. I rode a bay thoroughbred gelding named Trumby and he’s a young ex race horse. I have never ridden a gelding or a thoroughbred before so it was different to what I’m used to.

Trumby was so easy to ride, easier than Magic. He easily went into a trot and canter, but would often be a bit too fast, however he was easy to slow down. He had a big jump so I had to get used to it and the first time we jumped he did a big jump over the small cross rails and went too fast so I had to canter a circle before continuing. By the end I had gotten used to him and we were jumping great.
