Hello! This is my first post I'm slowly realizing! And I think it'd be good to introduce myself!!

My name is Blue/Blu and I'm 14! I go by she/her and I'm a female. I've been riding horses my whole life, starting out at my Aunt's barn; which was Western. I participated in Barrel Racing and I believe some forms of small jumping. In no way shape or form is this meant to attack western jumpers; I found it very uncomfortable. But when my family moved I found a new barn around 5 minutes from my house. That's where I started my journey even farther, this was around 7 or 8 years old. I used to own a horse at my Aunt's named Five. I'm not sure what breed he was, but he didn't trust male figures and me and him greatly bonded. Sadly enough, in 2020 he died from suffering seizures. But at my new barn I bonded with two ponies, one named Austin and the other named Laddie. Laddie taught me so much. Me and him took so many trail rides. Austin, I feel as if he didn't get sick we would've gone so far together. But Austin got severely sick from Colic. He hasn't been ridden much at all since then, hence he hasn't done very well. But me and Laddie journeyed together. We were taught how to rope cow while on horseback, did even more barrels, tried a tiny bit of Dressage, and started my journey for jumping. I believe my first accidental jump was maybe when I turned 10 or 11. We were on a trail ride for a summer camp. I was told to either Trot over the log or walk around it. Me being me went over it but didn't see the log a bit in front of it and went over that too. It spooked me a bit but I really loved it. Laddie being a hunter Jumper really took care of me those days. But up until last year I rode there. This year I started at a new barn with more to offer. It's 8x as far but it's worth it. I've made much more progress at my new barn than both my old ones and its been maybe 4 months. The other funny thing about me is I've only fallen off twice in my whole life! Once was on Five and the other was on a Pony named Nova, who got spooked by dirt and took off at a Gallop. Very spooky. But yeah, that's all I have really. I'll add some videos and pictures below. Not that I have many on my phone yet, I'll get more though.

Norma

This video was taken on Norma, yes I know I very sharply yanked her back over. That's because she was being a butt this whole lesson and kept trying to go over that jump. A bit later after this she decided to throw a fit.

Norma

This video was before that one and this is me getting scared because the first time she had done this I had barely stopped her before the jump.

Quick storytime: Norma was being a butt this whole lesson. And we were going around the back end and she spooked at dirt and quite literally flew left and I flew right, managed to stay on but she stopped immediately and I flew forwards landing on almost on her head. Unluckily both my feet were still in the stirrups. I managed to stay on after that tho, which was very surprising!

In all serious now, that's it! Have a great rest of your day/night! And I appreciate any tips as I'm somewhat struggling to get back into riding, as I did sprain my ankle in late 2021 and now I'm even farther delayed on the schedule my trainer wants me on.
