Ellie: first week under saddle :star2:

After Ellie had lost weight we decided to back her here in February so she is ridden before she foals (april). The first week has gone and she is incredible!

The week before February I started to learn her park and mounting from mounting block. She is so trusty and didn’t react at all (last winter I had sat on her a few times and was lead on her in walk). We longed one day with bridle and then one day with full tack, so Saturday we took a walk with tack on and the last 400 metres or so I jumped on and we rode home 🥰

Today we took a small hack again, and when we went home we took a few trot transitions (it was in gravel so I didn’t want to trot to much). We had our first encounter with a bicycle, but she took it really well. I am currently preparing a small pen for us to ride in so I can school her a little, but for now we train steering and tempo on hacks :muscle: 🏻
