An old thing I found in the barn

Not so long ago I found this in one of the barns I am at. It is titled "the horse's prayer" and I thought I would translate it for you guys.

give me plenty of food and water and take well care of me

be always nice to me

never pull hard on the reins

don't whip me to go up steep hills

give me not to heavy carriage

give me good shoes

protect me in the summer against sunheat

protect me in the winter against ice cold bits and put a blanket on my back

show me love once in a while

I pull you. I carry you.

I live only for you

you know I can't talk about my suffering, but God will bless you

at the end when my powers is gone: take my life in the least painful way
