Welcome to my first blog! I came to introduce you to my OC! I hope you like it, I'm not exactly that present on the app but I got back into my mythology fixation recently and I'm rewatching EPIC several times in a row (Help) .

✦ The Myth of Drysiphos ✦

The Falling Star, Child of Night

In the beginning, before time was counted and before dawn had a name,

there was only Night.

And she was not empty.

Nyx, veiled in shadows and crowned with stars, ruled in silence.

She had birthed Sleep, Death, and Dreams —

but her heart longed for something different:

a light that belonged to her alone.

Not the blinding blaze of Helios.

Not the silver sheen of Selene.

But a flicker — soft, radiant, and fleeting —

a star that would live only in darkness.

And so, from that longing, without a consort or cry,

Nyx breathed a single word into the void —

and from that breath, Drysiphos was born.

He was not born upon the earth,

but in the velvet fold of Nyx's great celestial cloak.

A shimmer.

A whisper of flame drifting across the heavens.

He danced among the stars, never touching the ground,

eternal, yet ephemeral — a contradiction shaped into light.

The gods above did not see him.

Only Nyx knew where he burned.

He was her secret —

a pearl in her black sea.

But one night, a mortal wept beneath the sky.

A wish left their lips — desperate, pure.

And Drysiphos, who had been born of desire,

felt the call.

He fell.

A single streak of fire through the darkness,

a celestial tear shed for mankind.

The people below called him a falling star,

never knowing he had a name,

nor that he had given up the sky for them.

Now he walks among mortals,

his divine glow hidden beneath a human form.

He laughs, he weeps, he wanders.

But when the night is still and deep,

he looks up at the heavens —

and feels the weight of the stars no longer his.

Yet Nyx watches.

She sends dreams to guard him,

shadows to whisper his name.

For though he fell,

he was never cast out.

And that's how I currently imagine him among humans! A mix of royalty and simplicity. :)
