1.) what is your preferred name and pronouns?

You can call me FT or Thomas, I'm open to any other nicknames as long as they're not obsurd. My preferred pronouns are any pronouns you wish to call me since I'm Genderfluid.

2.) what does art critique mean to you?

Art critique to me is a chance to fix and improve things by better views, and if things aren't understandable, I'd be glad to explain to them a step by step processes so they can learn. Art critique is also a chance to allow and accept changes based on other's views for a positive change. It may even help improve art styles.

3.) why do you want to this committee?

I want to this committee so I can learn to critique better and also help others with something they need help with. I find that Art Block does dosrupt the artist's flow so its nice to also give advice to keep the creative juice flowing! :D

4.) critique the artworks below, you must have a minimum of 3 sentences per artwork (you don’t need to ss and add these images into your applications, only if you wish to)

— Seeing by how the colors add up to a cute sunset hue, I tend to think if it's a neutral pose or if light was present due to shine and shadow. Though Tord's left shoulder seems a bit short so maybe it could be a little more brought out. This is a really good color tones with warmth, aka red, orange, and yellow, and cool purple added for balance.

—the facial properties are a bit too forward, maybe lower the face details a bit. I see the mouth is wanting to be a bit timid as well so maybe if that's the aim, go for an undershot view where the picture angle is underneath the character. There seems to be a lot of chicken scratching though thats a very popular way of trying to get the best lines as well, try to keep some if preferred but try to avoid it by doing clean strokes, sometimes adjusting the stabilizer will help the pen flow easily as well. The colors seems to be a bit bland, maybe try a base color to set underneath the coloring to add a tone match with the background. Otherwise the hands are pretty good for the pose, very well done.

—I like that this character is posed as what seems like a villain but what I noticed is that the tail covers up the weapon a bit too much by the hem maybe set it to the side or wrap it by the leg. I like the shading for the eyes, makes the art piece look intimidating. When I looked at the buckshot, the dress forth-hem doesn't show and the sword seems to be a little miscolored compared to the front facing pose, though it may just be shading. It would be nice to see both sides of the sword design glow instead of the front facing to add more emphasis to the power of the weilded weapon. Otherwise besides the critique, I really like the character design and the color choices, it makes the character dark and mysterious. Though the shading could use a little work since some places do look flat, but the focus designs are spot on.

—I really like the greyscales of the pallete but it's a bit bland with the white space. The character is a bit flat from little shading, maybe a bit of shading under the chin and arms could solidify the affect on where the light fixture would be. The torso is pretty good with the muscle shirt but the pecs could be up on the body a little more since the pits start the sides of the pecs. The belly button is really cute I like that. The v-line seems really wide though, maybe closen the lines a little to see if it'll help the general structure of the body. What could help is the body type shapes to help with the anatomy of your character. I really like the scars, maybe dull them a bit and add more pink to pop them out. The background shading is unique and I like how it gives off mugshot vibes, maybe a little more color in the background can give it more contrast from the clothing.

I'm planning to be more active but since i went on hiatus from amino due to a personal event, I avoided amino for a while but I'm planning to slowly come back and be more open. I'm hoping this team will be something to help motivate my activity as well. I will be taking some classes soon but I will squeeze in time during lunch to check in and my freetime in the afternoons.

6.) what is your timezone ?

My dad's timezone is Mountain Time, Western-South Dakota.

My mom's timezone is Central Time, Northwestern-Alabama and sometimes EST-Tennessee/Georgia for business trips.

I look forward to doing business with our fellow artists, thanks for reading.
